Redesigning The Dharma
Redesigning The Dharma
Redesigning The Dharma is a podcast that explores questions around meditation, awakening and the rich opportunities and challenges of adapting Buddhist teachings and practices within the context of contemporary times. This platform will also examine the intersection of The Dharma with other contemplative traditions, in particular another path that is an integral part of my own practice: Nondual Shaiva Tantra, two common forms of which are often referred to as “Kashmir Shaivism” or “Sri Vidya.” The contemplative traditions from Asia can be conceived of as a “constantly evolving code of awakening.” Awakening is simply one dimension, though a very important dimension, of human development, one that has often been under-appreciated in Western cultures. A major aim of this project is to promote interest in this particular avenue for human growth by not shying away from the esoteric yet attempting, at times, to demystify it, not in any attempt to remove the mystery from life, but rather, to encourage those to explore the mystery of their own Being with enhanced clarity, intention, and purpose.
