It’s a great big universe!
If you find yourself looking for more Star Wars in your life, this is the podcast for you! The players are fabulous, each bringing their own charm to the crew, and the fabulous GM spins both galaxy spanning plots and small dramas with equal grace. Pour yourself a glass of frelp, order in from Noodles Noodles Noodles, and join me in listening to Redemption.

My favorite Star Wars podcast!
I love this podcast so much! The characters are unique, the role play is strong and the story is interesting. I love the role play interactions, the miscommunications, interpersonal conflict, and downtime episodes. Everything comes together to make a really moving story. Keep it up!

Great podcast
I am still in the first season. I have been trying to find a role play Star Wars pod cast. So excited to see how it goes. The cast has good character development and I’m excited for the future. I’m glad not all people were Jedi. I can’t lie I would want to be one.
The description and story make me feel like I’m there

Great Podcast
I was going to wait until I finished binging the entire podcast until I wrote this review, but the reference to Hugo DeMask changed my mind. All of the players are top notch role players with in depth Star Wars knowledge and it takes place during one of the more interesting areas of the Star Wars Timeline. This podcast is an overall great Star Wars experience that checks all of the boxes. (A whole lot of Sith, a whole lot of smuggling, and a whole lot of emotional conflict)

Great players, great story
Redemption is among my favorite podcasts. The story is very entertaining. They keep a nice balance of seriousness and humor. I highly recommend it to all Star Wars fans.

Patience is a Virtue
So, started listening a few days ago, and no lie, it was a little slow for me. Mostly pushed through cuz I'm on a Star Wars hype. But around episode 16, everything clicked. The story, the players' personalities and synergy, as well as the effort they were putting into the effects and everything - especially the creepy voice that scared the crap out of me. Will continue listening 👍

More than an RPG
I recently started listening since they joined the DSPN and it has me hooked. It sounds less like an RPG Actual Play and more like an audio drama, although once in a while you can hear a game mechanic mentioned. It's just a fun Star Wars story and I'm glad to be on board with it now.

Keep it up
I just caught up with this podcast and so I’m relistening it’s always funny and inventive and it still has a bit of grit and realism to it that really fleshes out the characters and world please keep it up

Much Love
I started to listen in order to better understand how to run a game with the Star Wars RPG system. But I quickly became engrossed in the story so much so I got all caught up with the story in only about three weeks. I love the characters and how they are played. Thank to the cast for doing such a grate job telling a wonderful story, and I look forward to what will happen next.

A standout show
This show is a perfect balance between actual play and audio drama. The world and the characteres are amazing and engaging. The players and GM nevere cease to raise the bar with each episode.

A gem
In the galaxy there is a lot of empty space, this podcast is not one of them. The cast is full of great role-players that know their characters and move throughout the story without a glitch. I recommend it anyone and everyone that loves Star Wars.

Have I done this before?
I can’t remember if I’ve done this before. If not, I’m the worst. So let’s begin. This is a fantastic show. I’ve had the honor of meeting and playing games with these guys (not Emily, yet- but hoping to change that at Acadecon?? Hopefully??). Anyway, you will NOT be disappointed. There is drama, laughter, and myriad guest voices that just add to the world.. or.. Galaxy I guess, of experiences and action! Love you all!!

Star Wars: A Star Wars Tale
That's right, this is just as amazing as the original series. The cast an crew bring a seriousness to the story that you don't normally get with live play podcasts. They have fun, but the focus is on the ongoing story, not the OOC jokes.

Top Notch Star Warsin'
When I was first getting acquainted with the FFG Star Wars RPG, I subscribed to as many Actualy Plays of the system as I could find to help get a better understanding of the system. Once I had a handle on the mechanics and quirks of the game, my intersest in Star Wars APs cooled from a white-hot intensity to a more mellow, yellowish hue and I dropped all but the best of them. This show was never up for culling due to its wonderful production values, solid balance of lighthearted goof-em-ups with serious eploration of the characters pasts and troubles, and the time frame of the game. Not a lot of APs seem interested in the years before, or even during, the Clone Wars. That's my favorite era to explore and I love every bit of detail they mention in this show.
So if you're lookin for a Star Wars AP, this show is one of the best

Best Star Wars podcast this side of the galaxy
I'm shortly into season 3 of this podcast as of this writing, and have had an amazing experience getting to this point. The story with this crew is well crafted and filled with some very interesting twists. We even get to see some great tie ins with this movies' storylines, which makes this a very interesting peek into the lives of those who are just trying to make a living in the background of this major political and galactic upheaval that took place during the Prequil trilogy. We meet some familiar faces along the way and have some... interesting interactions with them.
The podcast opens up with a clever retelling of their initial game they ran to start up the podcast since the audio had some major issues on that first session. The recap was all done in character and pulls the listener into the story of who these characters are and how they got to where they are at that point. It continues on with some great Star Wars action and adventure, ship to ship combat, planet to ship and ship to planet combat, jedi knights and ex-padawans, mystery, intregue, force ghosts, light sabers, and, honestly, a beautiful journey of four individuals who are seeking redemption for their pasts.
I'll try not to spoil much more than that, but I can say if you want to see a rag-tag crew of individuals in the Star Wars universe work out their personal issues in an exciting way, this podcast is for you. You have a pilot and owner of the ship, a gunner/medic/ex-soldier, an ex-padawan, and a droid, all trying to right their wrongs. Will they all escape with their honor, let alone their lives? You'll have to join me on this journey to find out, as I'm going to be listening as long as these folks are creating!

Great Star Wars AP!
These guys have some of thi highest quality production I've heard from any podcast. The audio effects and voice acting from the whole cast is incredible. The characters are fun and continue to grow and develop as the story unfolds. I also had the privilege of meeting some of these very nice guys in person at AcadeCon 2016. Thanks for the great podcast!

Awesome!
I met these guys at GenCon playing Questlandia. They were awesome then and here as well. A great, more seriously acted and produced addition to an actual play listener's rotation.

Great job getting Dani on for S03E09! She did a phenomenal job playing Tazi's mother, Verita! I laughed my arse off!!!

The Force is with them.
I was turned on to this podcast by a close friend who knows Chris, He asked me what I knew about the Edge of the Empire system by fantasy flights. I was skeptic of the system out of bias to do my love for the WotC Saga Edition system. I know that the system you play dosen't impact the story that game follows, so as I listened to the story develope and the characters grow and I became hooked. If you haven't listened to this podcast before and you enjoy Star Wars and actual play podcasts, do yourself a favor and give them a listen! The only complaint I have is that they have jobs and families that prevent them from updating more. I listen to each episode the day it's posted and you should too! I can't wait to see where the story goes and how the crew of the Krallet's Fang gets into and out of trouble.

Looking for a great story?
Looking for Star Wars?
Looking for Frelp?
Don't look any further because this podcast is for you! I've binged on every episode before commenting because I wanted to make sure I had experienced it all. I can confidently say that the crew has done an amazing job. The pace is great, the production quality is wonderful, and the characters are all loveable, even A1. You owe it to yourself to give this one a listen. It's one of the best actual play podcasts out today.

Great Podcast
The year was 1983 and I was a huge Star Wars fan. For Christmas or my birthday I got a record called Rebel Mission to Ord Mantell. It was a Star Wars adventure set before Empire Strikes Back. I wore that record out. I could see the action as it played.
The team of the Redemption podcast has brought that experience back to me with this bi-weekly adventure set in the Star Wars universe through the Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG system. My goal for listening to this podcast was to get an idea on how to play this RPG. That goal was fuffilled and then some. I recommend this if you are looking for a fun Star Wars story or are looking to learn this new RPG system.

Epic Characters & Story
Can't say enough about this podcast! The quality and editing are professional and clean. There is never a break in the story/action. You fall in love with the characters and can't help but feel you know them. You laugh at their inside jokes and personalities. The story is superb with GM Chris Burlew letting the players take the lead and going with the punches, which there are plenty! A suberb live play with a killer crew. Jump in anywhere and take a listen; you won't be disappointed!

Awesome Podcast
The redemption podcast has several things to going for it:
It's Star Wars. Further recommendations are unnecessary but nevertheless included.
The storyline is interesting and well executed. As GM, Chris does a good job of moving things along at a reasonable pace, balancing combat and other challenges with in character RP, producing engaging NPCs, and describing the world(s) with enough detail to stir the imagination but not so much as to induce eye-rolling or impatient finger tapping.
The characters are engaging. They're funny, skilled, flawed, aggravating, and endearing. They're persons you can relate to while still being amazed at the awesome things they do.
The players are talented. There's quality RP between both the PCs and the world around them. The players interact well, they don't shy away from challanges or the consequences of awful dice rolls, and they seem to have a good balance among them so that no one is overbearing or underrepresented.
The editing gives listeners a pretty smooth experience. Kendall does a good job of cutting the filler while still leaving in a fun amount of side interaction, and you're never left wondering 'what just happened' or 'how did they get there?'.
It's Star Wars.

A great Star Wars Podcast!
If you are looking for a actual play podcast with a great story, players who can play off eachother and can balance seriousness with silliness well and looking for something to listen to with the whole family this is the podcast for you. And having met the GM and some of the players at conventions, they are very nice and personable to interact with.

Great acting, great characters - feels like Star Wars
I really enjoy this show. The players are very connected to their characters, they each have their own good and bad qualities. It feels like listening to an actual Star Wars radio drama. There are always exciting moments broken up by good humor and levity.

Hands down, the best Star Wars actual play podcast
That's a bold claim, and here's why it's a fact:
TECHNICAL
Audio is excellent. The sound is clear, full, and everyone sounds great. The addition of appropriate sound effects increases towards the end of Season 2, and the podcast is better for them.
TABLE MANNERS
It may be good gamers, it may be good editing, but everyone is great at giving every other player space. There is a bit of a need to watch the OOC crosstalk in a couple of places, but that's an extremely minor quibble.
STORY
I love this story. It's recognizably prequel-era Star Wars, to the point where I wish I had've set my own campaign in the period. It's good to see named characters pop up. I'd like to see more of that, even just on the periphery. There's great hooks at every turn, and loose threads are actually followed up on instead of just retconned out.
CHARACTERS
How can I pick a favorite? They all have wonderful stories to be told, and each one is compelling. Watching Karrell slide to the dark side and falling for Tsar's spin on the Force while at the same time denying it is riveting. Tazi threatens to end up like an old-school Tony Stark - hiding from his demons at the bottom of a bottle while trying to avoid becoming his father. Kaio's past is full of secrets, and I'm sure we haven't heard all of them (my dark horse pick: he's secretly a Jedi in exile). Kaio's probably my favorite, mostly because I want to hear more of his history and his overall character is incredibly entertaining.
PRESENTATION
Voice acting! I think the big reason these characters are so full and real beyond their stories on paper is because everyone involved does great character voices. Kaio's voice is so good I couldn't tell it wasn't his player's actual accent (and 30+ episodes in, I still have to remind myself). I think because the voice acting brings fullness to the characters, it helps the players get closer with their characters. There's a lot of real emotion in Redemption that a lot of gamers are uncomfortable approaching and it's refreshing and very welcome to hear it. The heart-to-heart talks and emotional moments are real standouts.
OVERALL
It's hard to see how Redemption could get better, because it's already top-notch, but it keeps pushing upwards. Redemption is now my favorite actual play podcast -- not just for Star Wars, but for any game.

These guys are great
I don't know much about role playing or Star Wars, but a know a little more about the guys who create this podcast and they are really awesome people. I'm sure if you love role playing and Star Wars that this podcast would be right up your alley. If not, at least you have my word that these are genuinely really nice guys who deserve nothing less than a humble review from a friend!

Blasters, Pranks, Accents & Adventure
Redemption Podcast is awesome. There's a great mix of drama, humor, and adventure throughout, with definite character growth over time. You'll get to know the PCs and watch as they discover new things about each other and themselves, kick butt, and squabble like any good crew does. The PC voices are distinctive and entertaining. The accents make it very easy to tell which PC is taking right from the beginning. Everyone at the table works well together to form a story out of the die results (no five minute rules lawyering sessions and no arguments about what the dice result REALLY means). Each of the players at the table has a keen sense for creating dramatic tension, vivid descriptions, and comedy. You'll get everything from drunken bar brawls, strafing ground troops to save an orphanage, ship-to-ship combat to serious discussions about the nature of the force, guilty consciences about a chequered past, and of course, trying to find Redemption.
This podcast has a bit of everything, and it's all good.

Really Good Star Wars show
These guys do a really good actual play podcast that really feels like you are watching (or listening to) a true Star Wars story. It has great characters, awesome actors and great touches of humor and drama.

Bleep-bloop-woooaaaaah!
This is a fantastic Star Wars story being told with interesting characters and good pacing. The astromech droid with the deep voice is always funny and all the players get so into their characters that it's easy to keep the player separated from the character. I always look forward to a new episode of Redemption!

Not just ‘another’ Star Wars Podcast
This show is amazing. Despite it being fairly new AND having some of the same ‘early podcast audio issues’ I was immediately struck by the production quality of the show as well as the top notch role playing. As an added bonus, I prefer Actual Plays with 3 players as I have a hard time keeping up with more and the amazing RP skills of these players needs more time to shine. Do yourself a favor, listen to episode 1 - if you’re not hooked move on, but I think you’ll be hooked. I was.

Awesome Story
I love this podcast. Not only is it a great story, it is allowing me to have a gamer experice even though my personal life dosen't allow me the chance to actually game. I can imagine myself sitting down and gaming with them. The geeky humor and the action are quite well done.

The Best of the best!
This is my favorite tabletop podcast! It reminds me of all the old radio dramas but better since its Star Wars!
Also Tazi I got a flask for you at the next convention!
Keep making this amazing story and I'll keep sharing it.

Sounds like a fun time amongst good gamers
This is such a great notion, gaming online for folks to hear and experience. The audio quality is great and the players keep things in motion so there are no horrible spots of dead air. Kudos to Redemption!

A Really Strong Start
Disclosure - I’m in this podcast. :) And while the audio has taken it’s own sweet time to improve, I think that every episode is better than each before it - at least from a technical standpoint.
Entertainment wise, this is a small group of Role-Playing-Gamers doing what they do best … Role-Playing. We think that it is good enough, entertaining enough, and tells enough of a story *well enough* that it is worth sharing on the internet. Are we 5 star materiel? Not yet - but I feel strongly that we will crest that 5-star rating be as we continue to progress and it reflects in each episode we put out. Come along and enjoy the ride!

First rate actual play!
Great stuff here, second only to the Oneshot & Campaign podcasts. Better than average audio quality, good story telling, and the players stay in character almost 100% of the time, which goes a LONG way to keeping listeners engaged. These guys know their Star Wars lore AND they know the rules for the system. If you are a fan of actual plays, stop reading reviews and check this out yourself already!
