Black history IS American history.

How is it that I’m 61 years old and this is the first time I’m hearing this country’s history presented in such a clear and truthful way? Here it is told simply and concisely and with less bias than most US history, where even champions of truth will write about us with more words but less ability to convey the truth.

This is a much needed podcast. I knew what we were often taught in school was BS but wow, the extent is crazy.

I always learn something valuable when I listen. I’m so grateful redacted history exists!

I follow you on TikTok. Your short form versions of these stories are good and a great lead up to this podcasts. I learn more each time! Your Ronald Regan episode was eye opening and the perspective was one I hadn’t heard before.

I listen to a lot of history podcasts….. Redacted History is at the top of my list. The choice of topics, the storytelling, and the contextualization is exceptional. The world needs this podcast now more than ever.

Like others, I was educated in the deep (deep) south and this podcast has helped me learn so much of what was missing from our lessons. I’m embarrassed to say there are so many topics I haven’t even heard of BUT I’m thankful for André for teaching me what should have been taught a long time ago. Committed to teaching my children redacted history!

Have had this podcast saved for Forever, just started actually listening to It and it’s really good just wish the episodes were longer.

I mainly listen to Redacted History on YouTube. I like the visuals and it feels like Im watching a documentary. I can tell he puts a lot of energy and effort into his show. This show really will be one of those ones fasho. Keep going bro 💪🏾

Content is 10/10 and narration takes it ABOVE the rest of all podcasts. No one can top Andres narration IMO.

The content of this podcast is excellent and necessary. However, the sound production is iffy and is about half as loud as other podcasts (or ads).

I agree with another reviewer that this podcast is necessary. Because I was educated in North Carolina, and this is not the history that I was taught. I love the content and the narration. This podcast continues for generations to come.

Andre, the “good trouble” you’re stirring up with this work is essential—not only for our people here in the U.S., but also for our Black and Brown brothers and sisters around the world who’ve been led to believe that Black Americans suffer from a “victim mentality.” This podcast makes it clear that we are not imagining our struggle; we are actual victims of egregious, racist policies and practices that have shaped every chapter of our existence in this country. Yet so many continue to dismiss our lived experiences while directly benefiting from the rights we fought, bled, and died for—and still are not fully afforded. Please support this podcast. This is a very powerful podcast. It includes great story telling and is very informative.

Redacted History is a very nice show. Andre White is an entertaining and intriguing host that I can come here and watch at anytime.

Andre has a great voice for podcasting. I also love how he cover a variety of topics.

Most of their episodes are thought provoking but to say that Israel or any nation should allow their citizens, including infants, to be taken, tortured, gang raped, & murdered & not leash punishment on those who did it goes against the US Justice System & we sure wouldn’t tolerate it. Their representation of AIPAC is inaccurate & it makes me wonder about other episodes if they are this so far off the base to think the attempted genocide of Israeli Citizens celebrating peace is okay. This podcast is no longer for me.

Just finished listening to The Scramble for Africa & Congo’s Genocide. I’ve been advocating for the people of Congo but wasn’t sure where to look for a comprehensive breakdown on the history leading to the current exploitation of the Congolese people. This episode was incredibly thorough, a ton of info organized so well that it didn’t feel overwhelming to digest. My heart is with the people of the Congo, for what they face now and what they’ve endured for over 100 years. Thank you for this phenomenal history lesson! Can’t wait to listen to more 🖤🇨🇩

This is my favorite podcast I listen to. I would love to hear an episode on Barack Obama and nelson mandela.

The bad reviews you’re seeing are indicative of Andre’s brilliance. He’s not afraid to tell the truth— and apparently, people get reaaaaaaal butt hurt about the truth. Meanwhile, our host Mr. White exceeds expectations as a consummate storyteller and researcher and offers keen insight to the pieces of history we’re all missing. Facts matter, as it turns out!

I am a history buff and read voraciously. I recently found this podcast and thoroughly enjoy listening to it. I have learned so much.

I have been wanting to find a podcast so I could learn some history that explains current events, so I’m very glad I found this podcast. The host Andre does a great job of going through the history- plenty of detail, but not too much to be excessively long and drag on.

Great show with good content. We need more shows like this that give real history.

This podcast is so well-researched. It’s informative without being clinical. Nay, I would argue a good job is done reminding us of our humanity! thoughtful enough to serve also as a guide to maybe how not to be an a-hole without being preachy/snarky. Gosh it’s good.
