I’m a crime-junkie so this IS NOT my typical kind of podcast, however, I have enjoyed this SO MUCH! It is very knowledge and insightful and I ended up feeling so much joy for the state of Mississippi and it’s people. Great listen!!!

This podcast is brilliant, I started listening to it in early 2019 and so wanted the conversation to continue! I have shared the podcast with so many friends and family. These last 3 new episodes have been at least a 150 years in the making and you helped make it happen. Thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing the House and Senate hearing and vote for changing the flag in Mississippi. I am a native of Mississippi who now lives in North Carolina but so many people I love still love there and are effected by the vote. What a historic day! Thank you again for sharing.

I know this podcast is about Mississippi's state flag but every American should listen to the history of the Confederate Flag...learn about cultural iconography and understand how these symbols send important (and yes, destructive) messages to all of us. As someone who wants to work to heal our racial divide, the first step is awareness. I had no idea about any of the history of this flag...the podcasters do a great job of helping the listener to understand the history, learn from amazing professors and learn about incredible civil rights heroes, like James Meredith. Thank you for this great podcast!

So proud of the people doing this podcast and the fact that it is done by Mississippians. I just got finished with ep. 2 and I feel like their approach is spot on and well researched. The opening narrative gives the audience a clear and sobering perspective on what a flag should mean for our state. Give the first episode a listen.

Having grown up in South Carolina and now living in Georgia and being white, I am amazed at my ignorance of the south (Mississippi especially) and the present struggles we still face. This podcast is hard to listen to but quite necessary. I’ve only made it through the first two episodes and already feel very sobered. Yes, I grew up frequently hearing (and even saying at times) that the Civil War was about states rights and not slavery. Episode 2 blew that argument out of the water. Very well done podcast. Praying it changes perspectives and changes the nation. Keep up the good work y’all!

Worth the listen!

Wow. This podcast has made me see Confederate symbols in a whole new way. Never really knew the history of the time when they were erected and adopted.

This podcast is worth listening to. They employ experts in various fields to discuss a sensitive issue from a historical and modern day perspective. I highly recommend not just Mississippians but all Americans listen.

Hope all listen with an open mind.

As a millennial with deep Mississippi roots, this topic is tremendously controversial in my own family. This podcast is an honest conversation and deep dive into how we have arrived to our current state of affairs. The Podastery team produces quality work once again.
