This podcast is amazing! When researching the historical roots of the Christian faith , Phil Baker is one of my favorite teachers to listen to. I am absolutely hooked on this podcast and try to listen to 2 to 3 episodes each day. Thank you Phil for all your hard work and studying! I am learning a ton!

In a world where a lot of what passes for historical and religious studies is tainted by whoever is funding it, or by hungry for filthy lucre carpetbaggers, it’s good to know there are still believers out there contending for the faith once given to the saints, the disciples of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Apostle Paul and other reliable sources. I love Brother Phil & BDK. Very smart and likable individuals who are serious about God. And I’m thrilled to hear your recent interview with Chris White…met him years ago at a conference and have been listening to him even longer than you guts! Bravo.

Having grown up in the church and spent time studying God’s word throughout my life, I was shocked to learn how much I more insight is gained through studying the teachings of the earliest Christians. Phil does an amazing job of applying these teachings to our lives. Thank you for the time you spend researching and for your insight.

This man is very authentic and I believe his love for Jesus to be very sincere! Phil is great at revealing the beleifs of the early church!

Great show. This show got me interested in the Ante-nicene writings.

The Jesus and Judas episode was my first listen. So refreshing to hear the perspective of the Fathers applied to this story. The ideas of Predestination and irresistible grace make of God a puppet master at best and at worst, a beast worse than Satan. I am an Orthodox Christian and these teaching of the Church fathers are thus familiar to me. I am so glad to hear this teaching beyond the walls of my church. What you are relating here could bring healing to many in the Western Churches. Oh, and I enjoyed the song too! May Our Lord bless your work!

Phil, Great Podcast. It is refreshing to hear a challenge to go back to what the Bible says first and not straight to what Calvin and Arminius said. The early church fathers were closest in time and therefore have a clearer view of the context to which the biblical writers were writing in and to. Struggling with tension of what is God's part and what is our part is something we must do and standing on the shoulders of those that have gone before can help understand what the Bible and God are communicating. Keep up the great work.

Phil does a great job of speaking the truth in grace! I love how he takes the historical context and applies it to everyday life. We have so much to learn from the biblical truths of the past, which can amazingly guide our future! I love how Phil helps to point that out!

Great length for a morning devotion or morning car ride. Very interesting take on modern Christian world views and early Christian world views. Looking forward to hearing more current topics of faith from an ancient perspective. Nice way to end the episode with a song too. Gives you time to reflect on what you heard.
