The Long View is about seeing the pattern, understanding the timing, and figuring out what to do with that information. I'm Marissa Kester, an intelligence analyst, historian, astrologer, and three-time author. I've spent most of my career studying patterns professionally. These days, I use that same brain to investigate astrology, history, cycles, timing, and the strange places where they intersect. Here you'll find monthly astrology forecasts, deep dives into history, economics, philosophy, and the cycles shaping our current moment. I also teach practical astrology for people who want to move beyond knowing their placements and learn how to actually understand and use astrology to improve their life. Sometimes we're looking at a birth chart. Sometimes we're looking at a 90-year historical cycle. Sometimes we're asking whether an astrological idea everyone repeats actually holds up when you look at where it came from. It's all part of the same question: What pattern are we looking at, where are we in the cycle, and what can that tell us? This isn't about predicting the future with perfect certainty or endlessly pondering the cosmos. It's about using astrology alongside history, evidence, and lived experience as tools for understanding both our own lives and the world we're living through. If you want context instead of hot takes, frameworks instead of easy answers, and astrology you can actually use, you're in the right place. **The Long View is also available in writing on Substack, where you'll find the essays behind many of these episodes, monthly forecasts, and additional work.** rebellehistory.substack.com
