They're there to make you sweat like crazy. be really sore, which technically means, from a fitness professional side, that you did a lot of cardio and you overtrained.If you're super hella sore for several days after a class, that didn't mean it was a badass workout; that meant that it overtrained you.When you're burning calories doing cardio, you're only burning those calories while you're doing that cardio; afterwards, you have zero afterburner effect. Whereas with strength training and other strength training based classes, you get the afterburn effect where you metabolically have a spike in more calories burned, especially because bodies that have more muscle burn more calories at rest.
