We waited 3 whole days to talk to each other about Part 1 of the Summer House reunion. But this is not a recap! We may have cracked the code that is Amanda’s psychology. We marvel at how prepared Ciara is and hope she keeps her foot on the gas as the reunion continues. We also hope that questions about the timeline will actually be answered.

Mara and Colleen are excited to be starting In the City together, but were underwhelmed by the first episode. Our conversation highlights that In the City cannot be separated from Summer House and that the Summer House drama is what makes In the City compelling for now.

This is our first episode with an update — Elizabeth Holmes is in fact pregnant! Mara and Colleen dive into the Theranos story and discuss why there is an appetite for the retelling of all these fraudsters’ stories (e.g. Fyre Festival, Anna Delvey, College Admission Scandal). With the upcoming sentencing of both Elizabeth Holmes and Sunny Balwani, we can’t help but wonder if all of the elements that made Elizabeth Holmes’ story the most intriguing, may also help her receive a lighter prison sentence.

Mara and Colleen cover a lot of ground in this episode. Highlights include: comparing the Married at First Sight universe to Marvel, predicting that MAFS will soon be airing on Bravo, how self-defeating Alyssa and ultimatums are, and props to Becca Kufrin. And while we are tired of dating reality shows being filmed in Boston, we wouldn’t be surprised if the second season of The Ultimatum is filmed there (or maybe on Long Island). Enjoy!
