GUEST BIOWe are joined in the lab by Jorge Abreu, a Multifamily Investor with over a 1,000 doors on the GP and LP side. Jorge got into the real estate investing business when he found out that a lot of the successful people he read up on kicked off their careers in the same venture. He really didn’t feel that going the traditional route of working his way up the corporate ladder as an Electrical Engineer was the best way for him so he decided to take a risk and fast forward to a few years later, now owns multiple businesses.Jorge is the CEO of the Elevate Commercial Investment Group. His company looks into Elevating the Multifamily Community by providing a better quality of life for residents and above average investor returns. Jorge also owns a construction company, JNT Construction, that focuses on helping Multifamily Investors with their full renovations. The business came about funnily enough because of his not so ideal experiences with contractors. In this podcast episode with Jorge, we discover how people can build up or supplement their wealth with real estate investing. He makes it his business to offer services such as finding out about Market and Location Suitability, Acquisition and Operations to his clients - all of which are all intended to raise equity for investors.HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EPISODE02:00 - Background of the guest - Who is Jorge Abreu?04:07 - The importance of having a system in place07:13 - transition from one business to another11:10 - Vertical Integration - how it came about14:45 - The trick into getting into Real Estate Investing15:50 - Importance of coaching20:20 - Mindset for successKEEPING IT REAL27.54 - Biggest mistakes when raising capital30:02 - Acquiring new multifamily investments34:20 - What is next for Elevate?RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS35:22 - Favorite Book - You Can’t Hurt Me35:32 - Best Habit - Working Out35:41 - Best Tool - Active Campaign35:53 - One 300 unit apartment building vs 3 apartments of a 100 units - 300 unit36:03 - Class B or Class C - Class B36:14 - Cash Flow or Equity - Cash Flow36:27 - Self-managed or outsourced - 3rd party36:48 - One superpower for a benefit - Getting the word out about real estate investingBOOKS MENTIONED IN THIS SHOWYou Can’t Hurt Me - by David GogginsNOTABLE QUOTES (KEY LESSONS):Just the whole mindset behind money. I feel that in the US, we’re not really brought up to talk about our net worth or our investments in general. I think we should be talking about those things. To raise money in Multifamily you’ve gotta feel comfortable talking about that and you’ll find out that the individuals that want to invest feel comfortable telling you exactly what they’ve got and how much funds they are looking to place and what not.CONNECTING WITH THE GUESTWebsite - elevatecig.comEmail: [email protected]#ExperimentMultiFamily
