Reading Research w/ Shlok Sharma
Shlok Sharma
My name is Shlok Sharma and I normally get my information from Twitter threads and podcasts. I wanted to change that, and because I love an audience, I made a podcast where all I do is read things I normally wouldn't. This is essentially the audio equivalent of a junk food addict forcing himself to eat vegetables: I'll be reading research papers, reviews, and books to get a deeper understanding of topics that I wish I knew more about. It's a good way to put yourself to sleep. Also, all music and media is produced by me.
Episode Two: Comparing the Books "Elon Musk" and "Empire of Pain"
This episode is slightly different–no research! I can already hear your protests. "It's shorter than the last episode!" I know, I know, you get less of me. I'm sorry too. "There's no research!" Yes, yes, I just really wanted to talk about these two books I had read: "Elon Musk" by Walter Isaacson and "Empire of Pain" by Patrick Radden Keefe. "I listened to it–I loved it!" See? I knew you'd come around. As always, music and voice are mine.

Reading Research w/ Shlok Sharma, Episode One: Ozempic
Hello! This is the first episode "Reading Research w/ Shlok Sharma," where I learn how to read research papers and finally do the intellectually boring stuff I always wanted to do: read research papers about topics I've previously only read tweets about! A lot of the episode is me figuring out the basics of how to read a research paper. I settled on reading a couple of reviews on Ozempic. The first review was titled "Safety of Semaglutide" which was published in July 2021. The second review was titled "Wegovy (semaglutide): a new weight loss drug for chronic weight management" which was published in January 2022. Also, the music I used was produced by me. If you liked it, great! If not, keep it to yourself.
