200 years ago, a Belgian mathematician created an equation to represent the statical bell curve of the population of white men in Western Europe. Today, for some reason, we use this height-for-weight measurement to immediately make judgements on a person's risk for health complications. After our discussion, we feel like it might be time to toss out this archaic measurement.
