Relatable
There are a few podcasts that I listen to specifically on my 8 hour round trips to my daughters doctor appointments that are pretty much weekly lately 🫠 And this is one of them! It makes me feel seen and I can relate to pretty much everything and really gives me a sense of belonging 🫶🏻

A place for us
Being a family with a special needs child can feel very isolated. We live in a pretty rural area in Colorado and I’m thankful to have podcasts and technology to now be able to relate and listen to other families as well. We aren’t alone🩷

Things to say
The episode on how to teach your kids to approach and talk to disabled people was excellent! It was educational for adults as well as kids. I passed it on to all my kids to listen to. Then this week, one of my daughters took her kids to a retirement home to visit and play games with the elderly there. While they were not disabled, many of the same principles applied! They did so great! I love that the podcast isn’t only for disabled parents but has great content for everyone!

Such a needed perspective
I find myself every few seconds listening and saying “💯same me too”. And I so appreciate the hosts goal of reaching a general public audience and not only those of us already in the roles of raising disabled. Thank you.

Insightful and empowering!
I am a physical therapist in a predominantly pediatric clinic that hosts OT, ST, and PT. I love listening to this podcast to discover more about the experiences of families who are navigating a journey that is similar to that of my patients’ families. I have learned so much from the hosts and their guests’ unique perspectives and love the opportunity that they have to share their faith in God with the listeners. Their joy is truly evident throughout!

This podcast is amazing!!
In a world where there is so much brokenness and heartache these two moms have found joy. Rhandyl and Deonna are sharing their family stories of raising disabled in an effort to educate and promote inclusion of the disabled community and their families, but more than that they are sharing their testimonies of the goodness of God in everything. Time and time again you will hear these women proclaim gratitude that the Lord has been with them every step of their journeys. I think everyone should listen to this podcast it will not only change your outlook and understanding of those living and raising disabled it will also help us appreciate the beauty of this life the Lord has blessed us all with.

Great podcast for nurses!
I love this podcast!! As a nurse it is so great to hear how I can advocate better for my patients and their families. As a mom I love it because I want to teach my babies how to be advocates as well.

Wow! Inspiring, genuine, insightful and so supportive
First off, how y’all talk about your personal experiences is so impactful. Y’all’s stories are really one of a kind. It truly seems as if God hand picked y’all to not only raise disabled, but to also educate about it and provide a safe space for other parents raising disabled. I love how genuine and transparent y’all are about the highs and lows of the unique experiences y’all have gone through. It’s also interesting how much y’all can relate even though your children have had different journeys. I love the insight that y’all are able to share being a parent of a disabled child- it provides a transparent view to all parents, those raising disabled children as well as those who aren’t. It is so important how we talk to our kids and in order to do that correctly, it is so valuable to understand the perspective of disabled children and their parents. Thanks for providing such a safe space for parents and disabled children!

Incredible and inspiring!
I LOVE this podcast! The stories of these two women who are raising disabled children are just amazing! It’s inspirational to hear what they have gone through, how they have endured pain and, at times what should seem like hopelessness, but still give the glory to God and have been made stronger through their struggles. I’m excited to hear more stories from them & other guests and learn how to be an advocate for the disabled. Thank you Deonna & Rhandyl for sharing your incredible stories!♥️

So needed…
Rhandyl is my niece and we have watched from a distance all she shared. She has truly been a servant and loves like Jesus - unconditionally. Remi is unique, one of a kind and entrusted to the right family. The extended family; siblings, parents, grandparents, are all sacrificial and supportive of Rhandyl and Cole. The best thing to witness is joy in the journey. Praying for this podcast to encourage many.

What a Gift!
One of the greatest gifts that we can give to others is to join them in their challenges, struggles, tears, and triumphs. To let them know they are not alone. These two moms are doing just that. They are welcoming us into their lives, and, in so doing, providing hope and encouragement to many others. EVERYONE BELONGS. What a great message. And what a needed message. Very grateful for this podcast.

Inspiring, insightful, encouraging
This podcast is so inspiring, insightful, & encouraging. So proud of the strength of both these women! Can’t wait to hear more! I’m not a raising disabled parent, but I’m a caregiving disabled child. My mother became disabled suddenly and you both are so encouraging to listen to. Thank you for validating all your highs and lows. Our journeys are very different but a lot is similar. Much love ❤️

Together
I love that there is a forum where moms like us can hear about other moms in similar circumstances. I know that we often feel alone in our struggles and something like this is just what we need to know that we are all in this together! Thank you for creating this and I can’t wait to hear more!

Thank you!
Wow! It's always so incredible to hear the strengths of others. While my story is different, we still have so much similarities! My daughter was born in 2020 with congenital nephrotic syndrome (kidney disease), during the middle of the pandemic and was hospitalized for 337 days. Hearing Deona's retelling of their hospital stay during that time brought so much emotion back. Really looking forward to hearing more from y'all! Thank you!

This podcast is an eye opener to the disabled world. As I was listening I felt as my worries are minor to what the parents of disabled and the disabled person go through daily. Amazing Moms
So proud and thankful these two moms are sharing their stories. I pray that others, whether Raising Disabled or not, will never feel alone and can gain knowledge and understanding surrounding medically fragile persons and those who care for them.

Touching!
Just listened to the first podcast and I was very moved. As a parent with typical children this podcast has opened my eyes to the fact that I have missed plenty of opportunities to positively engage and impact a family with a disabled child. Very high quality Podcast as well! God Bless y’all and keep up the good work!
