Raised Right
Raised Right
Marielys Collado
This is a podcast about growing into yourself. It’s about leaning into your own voice, your own identity, and your own character. It’s about breaking the rules and stepping outside of lines that’ll ultimately shape who you are and how you view the world. This is about culture, society, generations and the curses that flow throw them. This is a raw and filtered venting session. This is the world through the lens of a second generation immigrant who was raised right.
What's your name? Identity pt 1
Hey! First of all, don't attack me for slacking, God knows how bad I've been feening to record but life has just been so hectic! I won't promise to upload on a rigid schedule like I did last time (whoops) but I will try to be more consistent with these because I really love doing this.  In today's episode, I decided to focus on one's identity, and more specifically the role your name has on your identity. Personally, this is something that I have struggled with for quite a while and I could really rant about it for days so I decided to make this the first official episode. Because one's identity is something that we can go so in-depth towards I will definitely make multiple parts to this topic.  I hope y'all enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed recording!  One Love, Marielys <3 PS-  I had initially done this recording in one take but my computer did me dirty and deleted some of the audio which explains why in some clips  I sound louder/quieter than in others.....bare with me y'all

Pilot - Raised Right
Hi everyone! In this short "episode" I introduce myself and my baby-this podcast :)  I have been working on this for a long time and I am very glad to be finally able to share this with you. I know the end of this episode is a tad bit chaotic but I wanted this entire episode to be unscripted and in one take- hence the rough cuts. Regardless, stay tuned for more, I promise the coming episodes are way better. Feel free to email [email protected] with any questions, feedback, or suggestions. One love, Marielys
