Every time I hear the tagline in the show I get pumped up for history and it’s awesome.

Well thought out
I just finished Season 1, and I have to say, the way you put information into perspective makes such a difference in the storytelling. I struggle to compliment you without just reiterating a point that you already made reflecting through the season. Thank you for the great work you do and I’ll be sharing this podcast with friends

Documentary of the Mind
Precise, charismatic, and thorough. Learned a lot I didn’t know about Mr. Millhouse. The music was well placed and cues nicely. Well made and educational offering. Nailed it.

So good. You think you know history...
Just finished the entire series. I can't say enough how good it is. Sure, all of us older generations and some of the younger ones into history heard the stories of how a dashing JFK swept through the election to top an uncomfortable in the debates Nixon. Oh, you don't know. This show ties together the 1960 presidential election with our most recent election. How Nixon v. Kennedy was very similar to Trump v. Clinton. You will not believe how similar the campaigns were and who is most similar to who. The extensive deep research. The how it's made deal making to run for president. I found myself during the highlights saying "yeah I knew that" and then when Mr. Young gets into the behinds the scenes stuff just saying outloud "wow, I did not know all that. That is incredible." If you are into what it takes to win an election for president listen to this. If you are into American history, listen to this. The best thing I can say is that it isn't boring. Mr. Young's delivery is like a great story teller drawing you in. Oh, and the whole Sammie Davis Jr. thing blew me away. 1960 isn't ancient history. This shows what MLK was fighting for at this very period in time. I think I may be listening to this series a second time.

No holds barred
A wildly engaging story on how the presdiential campaign playbook changed irrevocably in 1960, and it how it still effects us today. You find yourself feeling sorry for a lot a rotten [redacted], while thinking twice about those you heap praise upon.

Hell of a show
Justin thank you for this. I enjoy listening to you on several other frog pants podcasts and that brought me here. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into but I am glad I did. Your delivery of this material is just as entertaining as the material itself. I am not sure that hearing about all the ins and outs of this campaign, delivered by someone else, would have even kept me awake. Keep them coming Mr. Young I’m with you.

Just amazing. I’m not into history or politics too much, but Jury has found a way to entertain me. Everything i thought I knew about JFK was wrong. Give it a listen

Required Listening
You may think you know about the 1960 election but this podcast will prove that there is a lot you don't know about it. Well worth listening if you're into history, politics, or both. Even the most ardent partisan should enjoy this podcast.

Delivery has so much conviction!
Great to hear such a strong opinion with such an even keel. I can’t wait to hear the future episodes.

Appropriate Amounts of Yelling
My only complaint after the first episode was going to be about why we have to be yelling about everything... Then he gave a heartfelt and honest answer to that in the last eight minutes that, although ‘sorry-not-sorry,’ won me over.
Now that I’ve finished what’s available currently, I’ll say that it’s good history, great parallels to modern day, and richly told. I’d recommend this alongside Maddow’s ‘Bagman,’ as examples of how history may not repeat, but it very often rhymes.

Px3 Refined
I love Justin’s work on politics as he does it day-to-day on Px3 and this show is refined to perfection. He brings history to life as he illuminates our political past in the U.S. in a way that challenges your thinking. In an era of outrage this is a show that rises above the noise.

Man, fun history podcast that really be like that
Love this guy. Great voice. Great audio quality. I learned a lot about 1960 election and had to overwrite a lot about what I thought I knew. Annoying how old I am and never questioned some of the new in retrospect ridiculous facts I have heard over the years. But he never makes you think you are an idiot. And if I felt like and idiot, so did the host and he is honest about it. This podcast doesn't talk about Nixon the heel or Kennedy the Saint. It seems to be even.

Mr Young Does It Again
This is yet another great piece of art from Justin. I am soured by politics as of late, but Justin’s work is very digestible and entertaining. This man is great at anything he does. <>

Episode 2 amps it up
As I was listening to episode 2, I tried to do some quick searches to validate what Justin discussed. The fact that I didn't find it easily shows how much research he has done. I trust he has done his homework and I will discuss his points as if they are mine over the holidays

Listen to it!
Stop what you are doing right. I.e. And listen if you haven't already. This podcast is very well made an insightful. One of the best things I have listened to all year.

This is amazing
I can’t tell you how interesting this podcast is, it’s amazing. I never thought and comparing JFK and Trump but after listening to the first episode it makes so much sense. Why has no one else put this together before. Great Job Justin! <>

Fan-freaking-tastic
Never thoughtj that Kennedy and Trump could be compared. But I was wrong. The similarities are uncanny. JRY's delivery is amazing, he makes learning this history interesting. I totally recommend.

Wow. I'm blown away
I've listened to JRY for quite some time, and I've enjoyed most of his work. He was a good base-hitter. A few strikeouts, but for the most part sold singles and doubles. He's made me laugh, side eye and smirk at off color comments that may or may not miss the inattentive, causing me to feel like the two of us alone share a joke in the crowd, made me think for a minute (hmm.. Never thought of it that way.
But.....
THIS is a game changer. THIS is a consistent 9 inning game of Grand Slams. THIS rocked me on my heels and changed my perception. I can't wait for the next five episodes, and I WILL be recommending Raise the Dead podcast to everyone who will listen to me. Outstanding job, Justin.

History repeats itself
JRY does an amazing job telling the story of Kennedy v Nixon as it parallels the 2016 election.

This podcast is good, like Dan Carlin level good
I heard about this podcast and was like, “yeah right”. Then I listened to it. Justin, like Dan Carlin, can put you on the edge of your seat hanging on each and every word to find out what happens next even if you know the end result. A VERY well done podcast

Can’t wait for more!
JuRY at his finest. Really compelling subject!

This guy
Justin is fantastic at putting excitement and clever analysis into the electoral process, and this podcast is starting out with a fresh, engaging take on the comparisons between Nixon v Kennedy and that 2016 thing. No bias. No BS. All JRY <>

A great, original take on historical politics
Justin is as genuine as they come and has a unique yet very relatable approach to the way he explains the topics he covers. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the episodes!

Phenomenal Start
Just finished the first episode and can’t wait to hear the rest! Justin Robert Young provides an interesting political perspective focusing on the horse race. He does a great job keeping it entertaining and not inserting his own political opinion. <>

FINALLY ITS HERE
I Heard two years ago on Matt and Mattingly’s Ice cream social when he was a guest on the show that Justin was working on this podcast. I am too excited and episode one didn’t let me down
Mr.lenox
This is spectacular.
If you want an interesting perspective on modern events some times you need to go into the past. This podcast is one for the ages, a deep dive into how an upstart candidate with only minimal party support can upend the narrative and rise to the top of the political world. This is spectacular.

Another outstanding Justin Robert Young Production
I found out about this series from The Morning Stream and I am all in on this series. Exceptional production value, and appropriate length of episode.
The subject matter is extremely interesting, very approachable, and Justin’s delivery keeps you wanting more. Very excited to see how this season progresses and hoping for future seasons!

This is a beautiful peace of work Justin.

History Repeats Itself
You can truly feel the passion behind the narrator, which makes this history lesson a lot more entertaining than it has any business being. I always love going down a rabbit hole to learn all about a topic, and this really scratches that itch for the 1960 election, the Kennedys, and Nixon. Who knew it was possible to have so much fun learning about history and politics?

So good you’ll want the audiobook
Justin R. Young has never been better. I was hooked from the intro and enthralled through it all. I’ve already listened to the first episode twice and am planning on buying the audiobook when it is released. I cannot wait for the rest of this show! And, neither should you.
ironkor
This is a must listen
Justin Robert Young has a perspective on politics that is interesting, entertaining, and refreshing; all while without pandering to the blue/red team or any other approach that has ruined so many political media sources. I could not be more excited for this series after listening to the first episode.

Mind altering
Full of interesting and insightful information about Kennedy/Nixon and how it relates to Trump/Clinton in ways you wouldn’t expect.

Fills the political hole in my life
This was exactly the kind of show I have been looking for. Justin seeems to have thrown Dan Carlin and George Carlin into a blender and created a thoughtful, funny, and informative show that taught me about a political moment in American history that connects to our present.

News and History
“News dies and becomes history, but tonight? We Raise the Dead.”
Great storytelling and analysis of the 1960 & 2016 elections, reminding us that we don’t always have to look all the way back to Rome for historical insights. With excellent production, Justin brings us into that twilight space between journalism and history which we often ignore (to our peril), and tells us a story based on research & history with the excitement of the 24 hour news cycle.
I’m looking forward to many more episodes - let’s raise the dead!

High Quality History Straight to your Ear Holes
The first episode was, in a word, phenomenal. The passionate and artistic way in which Justin read the transcript, the interplay of recordings of live events and period music, and the way he crafted the story is masterful.
It truly reminded me of a high-dollar documentary film by Discovery, National Geographic, or Netflix.
I cannot wait to listen to more!
