Evangelical Christianity: It's role in Modern Conservatism and the Fears that push the movement
Season 2, Episode 31: As a current Christian, I chose to refer to God as the Christian God in order to respect other people's beliefs. I know that it can be difficult to navigate these waters as unfortunately my religion has been utilized violently and negatively against other beliefs, nations and people. I try my best to remain respectful, sympathetic and understanding of everyone's beliefs. I hope that this episode provides some perspective. I recorded this on Sunday, 27th November 2022. The book is called: "The Paradigm: The Ancient Blueprint That Holds the Mystery of Our Times" by Jonathan Cahn. You have been warned. The Dark History of Thanksgiving: Racism and Culture - Remember Indigenous People
Season 2, Episode 30: Hey Everyone, today I talk about the American history of Thanksgiving and how its myth perpetrates racism. Remember that land treaties are not being protected. Remember that indigenous woman are still going missing and being murdered. Remember the history of US settler colonialism and eugenics. Please note, I laugh when I feel frustrated, awkward or I struggle to articulate myself. Tiktok creator mentioned in the video: @empathywins Tiktok creators I recommend: @Shina Nova @Kendra Rosychuk @Nativelovenotes Racist apartheid architect: P.W Botha South African literature genre: Plaasroman To clarify: the end of apartheid benefits white South Africans as they are no longer economically and socially excluded from the world, while still being able to maintain their wealth and not be tried for any apartheid crimes they or their relatives may have committed. Equality will always feel like oppression to people who are accustomed to privilege (paraphasing Franklin Leonard). Another article talking about the myth of Thanksgiving: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/thanksgiving-myth-and-what-we-should-be-teaching-kids-180973655/ Also this is not clear in the episode but Native Americans also experience disproportionate police killings and brutality and experience the highest rate of police killings. Something I wanted to add quickly but should be addressed more fully in a separate episode is gun culture and mass shootings could be another sign of and aspect of USA's sociopathic culture. America has the highest amount of serial killers in the world and in my brief search, I could not determine if this included colonizers as well, though I doubt it. For further reading: https://sites.psu.edu/michellebingertrclblog/2013/01/31/does-american-culture-breed-sociopaths/ "Carceal Capitalism" by Jackie Wang I also shared what I feel grateful for to not boast or contradict my message. Rather to share as a good practice of gratitude and to suggest that we shouldn't have to wait for this one holiday to express gratitude or eat good and if we must, we should at least spend some of the day recognizing Indigenous people. Thank you to Jas for introducing me to the American Indian Community House. If you are looking for somewhere to donate, here it is! Personal Instagram: zukiswa._ Twitter: YsaPlatform

What I wish I saw in WLW media as a MLM and WLW fan - a spontaneous recording on Nov 1st 2022.
I recorded this a while back and then just didn't post it. It was when I first arrived back in my dorm from covid isolation so the First of November 2022 (Nov 1). Fun Fact about me: sometimes I can't decide how I want to write out the date so in my diary, it will be written out in multiple ways on top of the page. Hence why I had to rewrite 1/11/2022 (I did it again :). BTW it's written as day/month/year in case you get confused). Enjoy my mumbling. This is not a traditional episode. I will probably talk about sex so warning there. Till next time.

Bodies Bodies Bodies, Scream and the fears of relating across generations
Season 2, Episode 27:  This one is a little disorganized and a little personal. I am mostly thinking through things in the movement. This discussion/unfolding of thought comes in response to the films Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) and Scream (1996). Btw for those curious, according to @jstoobs, the closest teen horror film to representing millennials is Jennifer's Body. Read more about that by checking out the link to the website down below. Three cool reviews/analyses that I reference (in no particular order): 1. compares both films, describes them as generation-defining and talks about the fear of lack of apathy vs the fear of lack of empathy - @jstoobs (on TikTok) 2. clarifies how the BBB film is actually a satirical whodunit that critiques and welcomes Gen Z - "Bodies Bodies Bodies - Movie Review" by Chris Stuckmann (on Youtube) 3. discusses how the film is clever in portraying its themes and how the plot twist helps cement those themes - " Bodies Bodies Bodies is Quietly Genius I Explained " by Karsten Runquist Twitter: @YsaPlatform Link to website: https://zukiswamhlongo00.wixsite.com/ysaplatform

Why Modern Day Feminism is Useless - An Ongoing Discussion
S2 E22 Please note: Policing language should not be a cause to invalidate the point. The creator's main point is facts. Modern Day White feminism is ineffective because of choice feminism and undedicated united feminist action. Depp vs Heard should have sparked more feminist outrage. Shein and other fast fashion brands should have sparked more feminist anger. The Overturning of Roe V Wade should have had more protestors. Sex trafficking, child marriage, period poverty, medical injustice, attacks on cultural and  religious freedom, pink tax, the devaluing of a college education as woman becoming more educated, wage gap, unpaid labour, the devaluing of all things associated with and produced by woman, gender based violence, the commodification of women's bodies as a tool under capitalism and patriarchy, etc. So much more. These are all worth fighting for and more. It's important to stay focused. I suggest how we can redirect our focus.
