Best Its Been!
I have to say it’s the best it’s ever been! Chris and Gregg are amazing! I couldn’t be more excited with what the guys are doing with the show. Stupid News is hilarious! I have to say the craziness of the beginning of each show is my favorite though!

The entertainment value is in the deceit
The zenith of Chunga, or Brett Smith, was definitely somewhere around 2001 when he was on The End with Mister West. I get the biggest kick out of this show when I want a good laugh and eye roll. Having known Chunga, or as I knew him in HS ... Brett Smith, his stories are complete B.S. He constantly repeats stories that are either completely made up, stolen from others or possibly have SMALL thread of truth to them.
I haven't talked to him since just after high school, but keep in contact with the few people that do. And, we get a good laugh at the stories he tells about his youth, the Old Mill, celebrity connections and whatnot. We know it's bogus, but you have to wonder sometimes if he thinks it's bogus? That's the real entertainment value with his podcast. The fact he can babble on for nearly two hours twice a week baffles me.
Either way, just know that despite his ability to make something sound convincingly true doesn't make it so. He's just a really good liar that thinks the world revolves around a stale overcooked frozen Chimichunga burrito.

a slow painful death ...........
This used to be my favorite podcast, but over the past several years it's been dying a slow and painful death that, quite frankly, is hard to watch. I have been an avid listener of Chunga's (aka Brett Smith) over the past several decades. I used to listen to the him and Mr. West in the mornings on my way to school. But, the death of Radio Ronin was pretty much foretold after the way he booted Mister from the morning show back in 2007.
I am not here to solely pile it onto a morally bankrupted individual, there are legitimate problems with the current configuration of this podcast. Granted they are more or less related to Chunga's toxic ego and behavior, but I really want to base my review on why this show isn't worth your time and (and in some instances) money.
Let me state the reasons ...
1) "Chunga Stories" are constantly repeated and/or fantastically fabricated. Don't get me wrong, I understand that most storytellers, podcasters, writers, vloggers, etc. embellish a story to make it more interesting. But, there's a difference between embellishment and fabrication. I've caught Chunga in many lies and have had many validated by past hosts, acquaintences and people from his past. For instance I heard that the house Chunga fled in 2016 because of how haunted it was, wasn't even remotely haunted. They got evicted for back taxes. Why lie about something like this?
Plus, all of the connections he's had with rockstars, actors, etc. are, AT BEST, severly embellished. A former listener asked me this simple question. If Chunga so buddy, buddy with them, why doesn't he have them on his show? Fair question.
A little honesty would do this show and Chunga's inflated ego a lot of good.
2) The current host choice is not good. As mentioned above this all started with Mr. West, but Chunga pushes through cohosts like Elizabeth Taylor went through husbands. He can't help it. It's nothing to do with them being able to "HANG WITH THE PRESSURE" as Chunga once told me after asking about why Josh left. He's a jerk and having asked seeked for both sides of the story on both past radio and podcast hosts, Chunga is the problem.
That's why after pushing Kenny, Josh and Spencer it seems like Chunga just has what he has with Chandler (his son), Gregg and Chris. All of which are (or seem like) good guys, but Chandler comes off like a "YES MAN" to his dad. Can you stop pretending to have heard a story your dad shared for the first time that he's shared millions of times before? Times you were even in on the conversation? It's annoying and bad acting. Also, Gregg is really awesome, but the movie shout-outs are stale and I wish he'd review movies like Kenny used to do on the show. Then Chris seems nice, but he gets lost in the conversations a lot. He's very quiet.
My favorite team was Chunga, Chandler, Josh and Spencer. That's when I obessively listened to Radio Ronin to just get me through the pandemic. They had great chemistry and is one of the reasons why I love listening to Kenny, Josh and Spencer's new podcast "The Other Show." The chemistry on this show right now ... stinks.
3) The Patreon name readings are ridiculous. I hate the inside jokes. I hate how long it takes to get through them. Can't you just read them and move on?
4) This is kind of directly associated with the Patreon name readings, but the episode length is TOO long. When I listened it was hard for me to get through an entire episode because it was SOOOOO long. Top that with two episodes a week and I could never catch up. I can't begin to tell you how many episodes I left with 20-40 minutes unplayed.
5) I won't go into specific reasons here, but their Patreon isn't worth the money. I got almost no value for my $20 a month pledge. I got one of three t-shirts and gave up even caring after it was impossible coordinating with Chandler to get them. I don't care if I get my shirts, but between that and the infrequent bonus episodes ... what am I paying for? Chunga's Magic Key? There's no value IMO.
In all, it's sad to see the current state, but it's no surprise. This was a highlight of my week, but after getting both sides of the story on why people left, what people think of each other, etc., I can't support a person like Brett Smith. He reminds me a lot of my mother, as someone who puts on a good show, but will cut you down and demean you behind closed doors.
I can't support someone like this. Sad.

Rick Anstley would give up on this ...
Look. I grew up listening to Chunga on the radio. The End was fun. I miss it. I followed him after he was fired from the station. I listened to this podcast up until a couple years ago and came up to try again, but this show just isn't good. Having worked with some past radio people that worked with Chunga, I understand now why Jess, Kenny D, Josh and Spencer left. Knowing all of that there's no why I can trust or believe anything that comes from Chunga's mouth. It's sad.
I would just give a fair warning to anyone who is contributing anything financial to this putz. He can talk himself out of any corner, project blame on everyone else besides himself and will do anything for your money. He's just not a good person, he's just a person who is a REALLY good talker.
Beware.

Used to be my favorite podcast
I have listened to every show since the beginning. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt when cohosts started disappearing over the years. Well the wool has been pulled off my eyes now, and the charm has run out. The fun is now gone and it seems all they do now is complain about weather and read Patreon names for half the show.

Getting caught up
I honestly stopped listening to this show during the pandemic when I stopped commuting, and only just now tried to pick it back up after getting a new job that makes me commute into an office.
The dynamic here is way different than when I last listened, and Kenny D had just left. The Switch to Josh and Spencer was rough but I figured they would take some time to adjust and I was coming around when I stopped listening.
But diving back in the episodes are way too long often coming in around 2 hours! Who has time for that? And most of the time is spent listing off Patreons.
The last few months I have been listening to just seem to drag. The last episode I listened to Chandler was contract jobs, which I read in of the reviews he is supposed to be full-time ronin so is that still the case?
I also noticed Chunga seems really bitter, just complaining about “the good old days” and “Woke this” or “Woke that” if I wanted to listen to off brand Fox News I would, but I come to be entertained and escape not listen to someone who sounds like my dad on a Sunday ranting from his recliner.

The Ghost of Festivus Past
Worth a listen with an open mind.
This isn't necessarily a bad podcast, I just came to read the comments after getting a tip from one of the hosts that they're pretty wild. I've been listening now off and on for a couple years and I like it. It's not a can't miss podcast and it's nothing like Chunga on the radio. But, I love the Halloween shows and it's always good for a needed laugh.
But, in giving a honest review, it is currently struggling. It misses Josh and Spencer. I never listened to the show when Kenny was on it (I do like Baconsale though). However, I don't totally negate these negative reviews, because as a fellow listener, I think there is some frustration in the way they have completely cut out past hosts, especially Josh. From what I know it wasn't amicable and I think that's obvious to those who listen to the show or follow Josh on social media.
The episodes are too long, which vary between 90-120 minutes, it takes me a while to get through one episode and I will often skip the Thursday show. I think they spend too much time on Patreon banter and I fast forward through a lot of that when I listen. In fact, I think they really should consolidate into one show a week. But, I wish they would do more current movie reviews, Gregg's movie choices are not bad, but I'd much rather listen to reviews of new movies.
Now, because I am trying to be honest with my review, there is a lot that I do love about Radio Ronin. The first being Chunga. I loved listening to him when I was a kid and I do now too. I'm here to be entertained so I let a lot of what he says slide. Of course he embellishes his stories. I know others, based off the reviews take issue with that, but he is a storyteller... get over yourself.
The current show dynamic is not my favorite since I really started listening, but I do collectively like everyone. The tone has changed when Josh's zaniness left and I *THINK* I am okay with it? I like Chris a lot and I've chatted with him online quite a bit. Of all the Ronin he is definitely the most responsive, which is cool. But, I think everyone leaving these butthurt negative reviews need to remind themselves that Chris is no Josh or Spencer and that change isn't always bad, even if there is some stumbling at first.
Anyways, I wanted to leave a HONEST review. The three stars is where I feel it is currently and I'll change that accordingly. It's worth a listen and if it sparks something... cool. It'll be exciting to see where it goes from here.

“They just don’t like it bud”
If I could give this show zero stars that’s what it’d get. This show once upon a time used to be good. But now it’s just hearing the same story that is over exaggerated over and over again. Along with Chandler telling Chunga “I’ve never heard this before” when in fact everyone has heard every story many times. This show is made by a once had been narcissistic man who is trying to live in the limelight of what he once had 30 years ago. To this all I can say is give it up old man your show is quite boring. Also being a patreon to this show is is worthless

This stuff is awesome!!!!
Twice a week, these guys are making me laugh. Chunga is hilarious, and always has interesting stories. Chandler is the quirky smart guy, who is amazing with editing. Greg sounds like he’s stoned all the time, but is super chill, and know just about everything that has to do with movies. Chris (the naughty lil pancake) too has many stories, and
can make subtle shots at the american system. Definitely 10/10.

Goodbye ...
I stopped listening last April after Josh left and left a review stating that I was done. Curosity got the best of me and decided to listen to the past several shows to see if things are better, the same or worse. Annnnd ... yeah ... nothing has changed. They still take over half the show to read Patreon names, Chunga is still pretending to be friends with celebrities who have no idea who he is and Gregg is still doing his awful movie shout outs. I don't know who Chris is, but the presence of a Brit isn't going to help this show. The way Chunga runs off co-hosts it's no wonder Kenny, Spencer, and Josh have started their own show (which features none of the above mentioned).
I get the nostaglia of Chunga. I listened to him religiously on the radio when I was younger. But, just in my chatting with other co-hosts from the radio days he is a tool. That's why I pulled my Patreon last year. That's why I can't take anything he says at face value. He's a classic sociopathic narcissist that has some major insecurities (I'm a mental health therapist, once you see it they're all extremely easy to read). He talks up a BIG game and ego around himself as a way to protect an underlying imposter complex.
This show, and Chunga, err Brett Smith, would do themselves a favor by just being real and accepting the fact that maybe all we wanted all this time was something that was at least REAL.

The Disappointed Listener
A SNOWBALL'S CHANCE IN ...
I was listening to today's episode "Who Loves ALL This Snow? YAAAAAY!!!" (2/23/23) and felt compelled to leave a review for a couple of reasons ... 1) I find it really odd that Chunga and Chandler talk so much about Utah weather, considering they live in Las Vegas and 2) The show just feels like it's severely lacking lately.
That's why I was a little surprised to see similar reviews. I had no idea, but it's nice to know that there are others that feel the same. The show just hasn't been the same since Kenny, Spencer and Josh left over the past couple of years. I don't have a problem with Gregg or Chris, they're pretty cool, but the shows have been draaaaaaaaging lately. I don't want to nitpick them, but the dynamic is off and I find myself fast forwarding through the Patreon names (do you have to read everyone's name? With the banter you interject you could add a third show a week JUST reading their names) and Gregg's movie picks.
But, reading these other reviews I agree that Chunga's stories are growing stale and when you know they're extremely exaggerated or made up you question why you're still listening. Plus, my wife HATES whenever Chandler pretends to have never heard a Chunga story we've ALL heard before. She jokes it's probably from getting hit in the head by hockey pucks too much.
I miss the old dynamic of Ronin past, and I've been really enjoying The Other Show. It's captured a little of that magic I've been missing over the past couple of years. (Go check it out! Josh, Kenny and Spencer started it at the beginning of the year).
But, I am giving up on this show, I might try listening in a few months, but I really, really, really can't stand listening to it because I don't need to listen to a podcast that's retold old Chunga stories, 30 minutes of Patreon names and movies that I can't stream or find.

The curtain has been pulled ...
WOW.. Reading these reviews is very reaffirming of how I've been feeling about this show lately. It's just not the same as it once was the past couple of years. Finding that the departures of Spencer and Josh weren't what was presented was pretty evident in there being no mention of Josh's marriage or the passing of Spencer's baby after touting them as family throughout their time on the show and even on their last shows.
But, in talking with others that have had conversations with Chunga, Gregg, Chris, etc., the blame gets all pointed to Josh and Spencer as being "TOXIC." It's the same label they gave Kenny when he left. On an episode that they've since deleted. I'm sorry, but people who target others as "TOXIC" are usually the toxic ones.
I just can't support the two-facedness anymore. It's one thing when we know that Chunga stretches the truth on the show to make a story sound FANATICAL, but when he's doing the same thing behind the scenes ... that's a manipulator and narcissist as a few others pointed out.
I am glad that Josh, Spencer and Kenny started their own podcast. It's refreshing because you can tell they're happy, free from Chunga's "TOXICITY" and cover topics that are relevent ... like movies that aren't over 30-40 years old.
But, I am done. I usually wouldn't leave reviews like this, but I wanted to echo my voice with the others. This show lost it's soul and seeing the behind the curtain has revealed a sad reality of the kind of person Chunga is in real life. Sad, sad, sad, sad, sad.

Not My Cup of Tea
Update: I went down to 1 star after learning about more recent drama. I’m giving this a 1 star review because the host is a rude, crude, jerk of a human being. However, some people like this podcast, and I have liked many episodes of this podcast. They are funny, and I found value in some of their segments. However, since they decided to fire co-host after co-host, those good parts keep going away. I first stopped listening when they fired one of their hosts because he wouldn't be exclusive to them, and rather than just let him go amicably, they decided to spend a whole. 90 min episode badmouthing this host, while at the same time claiming that he is "still family". Anyway, that host was the main reason I listened to Radio Ronin, with him gone there is no reason to continue to listen. Had they not been so vindictive, I might have continued to listen. I might have even continued to donate through Patreon. As it is, they lost a lot of good will in that episode. I also find it interesting that all of a sudden, some of their listeners have decided to badmouth the other podcast(Baconsale) in the itunes reviews by leaving 1 star reviews. Not sure what they hope to accomplish. The podcasts aren't competing for listeners, it is just as easy to listen to one and still listen to the other (I did it for a long time). Anyway, I hope Radio Ronin has fun talking about Star Wars, boners, and ghost hunts and spending at least half of every episode talking about Patreon contributions.
Also, I could have easily hidden my identity and just given you 1 star and a short bad review, but I'm not a coward. Feel free to @ me on Twitter.

There’s a lot of us…
Of course the original poster that I responded to removed their post, but I’m responding to “Chunga’s Angel” who accused former jealous, jaded hosts of all of the negative reviews on here…
Anyway, there’s a lot of former fans, not just 2 or 3 former cohosts, that are disappointed with the way Chunga has conducted himself and treated others. And you can see all their 1 star reviews on here. I can assure you that I have never worked with the guy or even met him, I’m just a former long time listener. I have no reason to be “jealous” of the podcast and its “success”. (Have you seen the dropping number of supporters on Patreon?!) I just simply can’t believe someone who I absolutely loved for over 20 years of my life turned out to be such a let down…
I came to the realization that Chunga was not a nice guy and not who he claims to be after the way he completely ghosted Josh. Someone who he considered family, but yet didn’t even attend his wedding?! I always made excuses for him in the past, especially after he dropped Kent as a cohost and then badmouthed him. It started going downhill from there and I started noticing more and more red flags with the guy.
He’s a pathological liar if he can get away with it, he uses people and goes through “friends” like they’re the pawns he views them as, and he has grandiose ideations of himself. Ding ding ding! Narcissist!
Notice the many previous hosts he’s gone through and even people involved in other podcasts on the platform that aren’t even on speaking terms with him anymore? No? Then you’re blind. It’s not them, it’s him. He was even estranged from his own parents!
The show got stale years ago - about the time Kent was forced off - and it wasn’t worth my time anymore. It’s boring and lacks the lighthearted fun the radio show and the early days of the podcast had. Chunga struggles to be funny anymore because he’s tired of trying… if you pay attention. His cohosts and especially his son are just his yes men.
I’m truly a disappointed fan. I come back here to read reviews and go to the patreon page every so often to see the steady decline of what could have been a great thing if only the host was as genuine of a human being as he pretends to be. It’s a really sad thing actually, but also a very interesting case study.

Nothing has changed ...
I worked with Chunga during his radio days and it's fun to see that nothing has changed. It's not a secret that he can't hold onto cohosts to save his life. What you see is NOT what you get in real life. I can't speak for his podcast hosts, but having worked for this narcissist I am sure they were pushed out after Chunga got what he needed from them. But, hopefully they left before he completely took advantage of them. I wouldn't give this guy a dime. He'll say anything to get that dime and then expect you to give him a dollar. And, it seems like from the reviews he isn't delivering on his Patreon promises. Surprised?
ADDED: It doesn't surprise me to see a podcast of former hosts that worked with Chunga. Not that I expect them to share all the dirty laundry, but the lack of Chunga's ethical standards is rather disgusting. Good for Kenny D, Josh and Spencer and their new podcast, The Other Guys, don't let Brett scare or dictate what you do.

Listened since the beginning….Not what it used to be.
I’m very disappointed with how this podcast has turned out to be. Originally, when it started, the dynamic of all the hosts was so great and everyone brought a unique perspective to the show. Probably the high point of the show was Chunga, Chandler and Kenny. But when he was forced off the show, it went down hill from there.
The current show as it stands is just plain boring. Chunga and Chandler are always talking about how great Vegas is and the weather. Gregg is basically there to share his opinions about movies that he likes, but is no way a movie expert and his love of Greece. And Chris is there, probably because he’s just British. Both have boring personalities.
All that being said, this is my opinion. So, take this review for what’s that’s worth. But I have listened since the very beginning and I just can’t listen anymore. Don’t wrong Chunga, is my understanding. He and the rest will dox you and ban you out of their lives, like you never even existed. It’s said that’s how he treats his fellow former hosts; which is sad.
Finally, the Patreon is a rip off. I supported them for over a year, and no progress has been made towards to 5 days a week of Ronin. They have barely enough content for 2 days a week, so I can’t imagine how crappy it’d be if they went to 5. And the meet-ups were always lame. If you’re not already in their inner circle or worship them on the Facebook page, they really don’t care to know you and interactions lasted less than 30 seconds. I also got 2 shirts and both were super basic and lame.
It’s sad the show has turned out this way and how much non-chemistry exists in the hosts now, but as for me, I’m no longer listening. You missed it if you choose to listen now. Sad to see that happen.

EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ... what happened to this show?
I used to really like Radio Ronin and the community that was built around it, but it got really toxic to the point that I just had to leave the FB group. I can't stand the elitism from some of the group members when it seems they get into "Chungas inner circle". I won't drop names, but my interactions with one of the spouses of one of the current hosts is what really soured me on everything, the amount of backbiting and meanness is outstanding. It's no wonder they have problems keeping hosts. I would run away from it too.
My husband stopped listening earlier this year and I am following suit. I have loved listening to Chunga over the years, but my husband has pointed out many times how repetitive everything is and the topics don't differ much--from the weather, daylight savings rage and stories I am sure are just made up or variations of other made up stories. The show is stale, the community toxic and just not worth my time anymore.
It seems like a lot of other people in the reviews feel the same. Sad day, because listening to Chunga first thing in the morning was a highlight of my day at one point.

PROS
- I still get my Chunga fix. I've been addicted to Chunga since I was in high school in the early 00s.
- The best time to listen to the podcast is Halloween. The evp episodes and ghost talk is fun. I hate missing their Halloween live shows or any of their October shows. [UPDATED FROM TWO STARS TO ONE STAR: They didn't do a live show for Halloween this year!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO]
- It's been fun meeting people in the Ronin Fam community and getting to know others through the podcast.
CONS
- The show is VERY inconsistent, especially with hosts. I have heard that CHunga can be hard to work with, so that kind of explains the host turnover, but the current hosts are just not it. I like the guys, they seem great from what interaction I have had with them, but if i am being honest... Chris isn't a replacement for Josh. He's just not funny. It feels like he is only on the show because he is British.
- Maybe this is because other hosts that got comedy are gone, but I get rather annoyed with Chandler's lkaughing and surprised reactions to Chunga's stories. He is his son and if he is reacting to a story like it's the first time he's heard it when we have all heard it for the billionth time then he either has short term memory loss or is a really bad actor.
- The show currently lacks a lot of pop culture stuff and it's made the show rather stale. This is definitely because of the show host turnover, so instead of movie reviews or comic talk (my favorite!) we get retold stories, guitar talk and Disneyland news. But, the Disneystuff isn't anything I haven't heard from the vlogs I follow. It's really grown stale and needs someone like Kenny,Jess, Josher or Spencer that brings some fun back to the show.
- They spent WAY too much time reading Patreon names. I often skip through all of that. The inside jokes and whatnot are annoying.

It kills me to do this, but I have to agree with all the other one star reviews. There was no bigger Chunga fan on the planet than me, but when Josh left the show, it was the proverbial final nail in the coffin. I can no longer ignore the fact that this has happened to multiple cohosts, and maybe just maybe (no maybe about it actually), the common denominator is Chunga. Obviously the show he puts on in person is vastly different from the actuality of how he is as a friend and coworker.
Of course I always knew he was prone to exaggeration (anyone listening to him for a significant amount of time knows this), but I chalked it up to being part of his “charm.” I highly doubt his claims of friendship with celebrities. That he is talented and funny, I will not dispute. But it’s too bad his narcissism and toxicity have driven away the ones that bring out his humor best.
I stuck it out for a while after Josh left, but the show is just plain boring now. Hearing about the weather in Vegas, how “we’ve got a big show” and Gregg’s love affair with Greece, not to mention the mundane Patreon readings has only added fuel to my fiery desire to quit it altogether.
I am so sad. The potential is there. But they need to be good humans too. Unless there is some kind of public apology to those who have been wronged (I have a feeling there is an even bigger list than I imagine), I’m out forever.

wanna see Chunga throw it over that mountain?
I stuck with Chunga after he left the radio, and have listened to every episode, every monday and then every thursday when they went to two shows a week. I even became a patreon so they could grow the show.
but after loosing KennyD, then Spencer, and now Josher the show feels lost... they no longer talk about anything new, it is always the same five stories from Chunga, that he has been telling and Chandler has been pretending to laugh at since the radio days.
when they do actually talk about something other than guitars, its to review a movie that Chunga has seen a thousand times.
I was sold on the promise of them growing this show, we only ever get two shows and 1 YouTube video a week... and even then it seems that Josh was the only one that did anything fun! Chunga just goes to disneyland or to dinner and then films himself eating the most boring thing on menu! They moved to vegas for the "content" but don't do anything fun or exciting, and promised that they would still be in Utah for events... I don't think that they have been back more than 3-4 times, but they have Gregg, and they had Josh traveling to them like every other week!
Other reviews say that they are not here for the co-hosts, but for Chunga, but with out his co-hosts it seems like the show has no content, no movie news, no actual Disney or Star Wars news that wasn't already on some lame youtube channels for a few weeks before Chuna '"broke the news"... it seems that almost none of Chungas "insider" info has actually come true...
The show now just feels like a High School quarterback whose best days already happened.

you were an All-star
I listend all they time when he was on the radio, it seemed like he was always on the air and everyone loved it! Then out of the blue we heard less and less!
It was great to find him again and see that he had a podcast, but it is almost a little sad to see that he has let his demons get that best of him... Regardless I will always a big fan of Steve Harwell and the rest of Smash Mouth, I don't know why he doesnt have the rest of his band on the show though, he keeps saying he is friends with them and all these stars but I never hear them on the show.

This show had it's day, but it's just stale now. Chunga continues to push out the hosts that bring the chemistry and fun into the show (like seriously dude, how many hosts have you been through?). The majority of patreon money seems to be pocketed instead of invested into the show as promised, at least as best as I can figure. The jokes are no longer funny after you've heard them a thousand times. Chunga's exagerations and lies are just a little too obvious, even for a show. The show is lacking, and I don't see how it can bounce back this time. Ronin is just not worth my time to listen to anymore, and definitely not worth investing in anymore.

Not good anymore
I’m sorry to say but with Josh gone, it’s not entertaining anymore. Josh and Brett “Chunga “played off each other and now it’s just lame. I’m really bummed because I looked forward to this podcast all the time. Now you’ve lost a subscriber.

Boring 🥱
It lost all its charisma when Josh left. Chunga just isn’t that funny without playing off of someone else who’s actually funny... Chandler and Gregg seem nice, but they’re just not that entertaining… or that funny. This show’s just not worth the weekly listen anymore.
MandoWay
It doesn't add up...
I have been a long time listner since Chunga was on the Radio, way back when he first left RFH, and I loved listening to him in high school, then when I graduated I listned when I drove into work. I loved the show, I was even a patreon until recently... but after Chandler started doing this full time, it seems we have gotten less content... where is the money that I paid going? we never got bonus shows consitently, and we are lucky to get even ONE RoninTV show a week.
They say they are reinvesting the money but it is the same show and the same format... but worse.
Chunga has had his share of co-hosts, and I have always sided with him... but when Josh who seemed like the only person on the show left, it seems like there is more to it. They said they recorded his farewel show on sunday afternoon before Josh announced on social media he was leaving... but Josh posted that Josh posted on before that... along with a lot of other things that don't line up makes me wonder if there is more to the story, not just with Josh, but also with KennyD? Jess? or even Spencer who at least got a farewell show! What are we not hearing, and it seems more and more that Chunga is the center of the pattern.
All this coupled with the show just having zero enegry, and being basically the same show, with no new content on repeat I just can't listen any more, I wish Gregg the best he seems really nice, and it seems like Chandler is jst caught in his dads shadow... but none of this adds up, and what it does add up to is a sub par show, with questionable ethics.

Could be better…
I’ve listening to this show on and off for a few years and miss the dynamic that Kenny brought. It’s refreshing to have differing opinions here and there, rather than the current show where everyone just agrees with everything Chunga says. The other thing is reading off their patreon list every episode. I get that they want to show love to their supporters, but its very repetitive when they take 20-30 minutes EVERY episode to read off the list and ramble about inside jokes.
I wasn’t very impressed with how they handled forcing Kenny out and then bad mouthing him for an entire episode. Overall it’s not a bad podcast, but could be better.

When it's on, it's on ... when it's off ... UGH.
UPDATED REVIEW: I echo some of the other reviews here. I was super sad to see Josh leave, but I can't blame his reasons. I wish he could have stayed because his absence is felt. Chunga and Josh played off of each other really well, because as the solo funny man Chunga just isn't funny. With Josh gone you can tell Chunga is trying too hard because you're hearing a lot of the same jokes and schticks from the radio show. It's gone stale fast. Chandler and Gregg seem nice, but Chandler just laughs in the background and pretends to have never heard the stories Chunga shares ... for the millionth time.
But, I miss Kenny, Josh, Spencer and Jess on the show just like I missed Mr. West, Chelsea, Cort and Tysen on the radio show. I grew up on listening to Chunga on the radio all throughout college, my first marriage and since I found the podcast back in 2015. It's comfort food. But, sometimes comfort food goes stale after a while I guess?
I wish I could give it 5 stars like it was a few weeks ago. But, I just don't like the current dynamic of the show. Sad.

Radio Crush
It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to Chunga. We’ve lost touch over the years. So happy to find him again. I’ll be rekindling my radio crush. ❤️

Come hang out with them each week
Great group of guys that share their lives and thoughts on life. I have been listening to Chunga for most of my life. Check it out. They are a great distraction from life.

Great!
Best podcast around. I like the changes that occurred with the show. Unlike others, I don’t miss Kenny.

The show has never been better!
I've been with this show since the very first episode. I've seen the ups and downs of the show, seen co-hosts come and go, and experienced frustration at times with irregular timing of episodes and with some of the co-hosts on the show. I stayed because of Chunga. I've listened to him since the radio days and was extremely angry when he went off the air but so happy when he started the podcast! Chunga not only has the ability to make me laugh but he also is brilliant in the way he explains issues that are important to him and in the way he looks at the world. His son Chandler is on the show and it's been so cool to see Chandler figure out who he is and what he wants to do with his life over the last few years. You can tell the great attitude and intelligence Chandler posseses. Those two have been the anchors of the show since the beginning but as I said the other co-hosts have been an issue until a little over a year ago when Spencer and Josher came onto the show. Spencer has a brilliant mind and the ability to organize a lot of the chaos that goes into a podcast and has improved that portion of the show dramatically. He has a great sense of humor and brings a different level of geekdom to the show that I truly enjoy! Josher has no filter and I truly admire that. He doesn't lie about who he is but puts himself out there which is terrifying to do and I believe the world would be a better place if more people were like him. He has an incredible sense of humor and often makes me laugh out loud.
These four together each come from very different backgrounds and have different ways of approaching the world and different topics. It makes for a fascinating podcast that is funny, thought provoking and intriguing. Everyone can find something to love about every episode they do! I never miss an episode and I plan to keep listening always!

Sad
I am updating my previous post after Kenny left. I have been periodically checking to see if this podcast has improved since Chunga forced Kenny off, but it appears that the new ensemble has no chemistry. Chunga and Chandler are still ok enough, and Spencer and Josh seem like nice guys, but not the same and boring. I will be giving up on this one. There are lots of other shows to follow.

Wow...
Started to listen to these guys a while ago... their most recent episode has a bunch of them telling the listeners about how one of their own was late for a ghost hunt and over the next 90+ minutes aired their grievances with him even though he wasn’t there. They called him a member of the family and best friend but humiliated him publicly. They could have kept this in house and be professional about it. I mentioned this on their twitter and was immediately blocked, they can dish out public criticism but can’t take it.

CHUNGA
Great show. Have listened to Chunga for most of my life. This poscast has grown and matured over the years. It is currently doing so again. But as always moving forward it will be different but will progress. Sad that with a split of hosts fans take sides and try to damage each camp. It is possible to move forward and support both the current hosts and the former hosts.
This show is a brightspot each week and will now be on twice a week. Give it a listen.

First Time Listener/Reviewer
So I've listened to the last two episodes. Those are the first episodes of the show that I have ever listened too. The drama filled episode was definitely not the greatest episode to start with. It was definitely a lot better the second time around and listening to Chunga's Chewbacca story was my favorite. Keep the childhood stories coming Chunga. I will definitely continue listening. Spencer and Josh's stories were pretty entertaining too. I really loved the pajama jeans. Anyway...keep up the great work guys.

Best way to get through the week
I listened to Chunga back on 107.9!!! I missed his show when I left Utah for a time, and when I came back was stoked to find him again!
With Radio Ronin we can get Chunga at his peak! Raw and real!
With 2 episodes a week starting soon I can’t wait to start my week listening to Chunga and his co-hosts!

A great escape
This podcast is so consistently great. I listen to it weekly on my commute and the fact that it never gets stale is a testament to how great the guys are. They break from the set list often and I think this is the funniest parts because the banter is so random.

Light in the middle of the tunnel
This show is what I look forward to throughout the whole week. I sometimes look forward to Thursday’s more than I look forward to the weekends.
Having listened to this show over the last 4 years and listening to Chunga for the last decade or so, I cannot recommend this show enough. It rewards you for listening every week and always gets you to smile if not laugh out loud causing your coworkers to give you some weird looks.
If you are looking for a show to listen to, jump in and join the goblins!

Hit or Miss
When they're "on," they're wonderfully entertaining. When they're not, it's painful. They can have a wonderful chemistry, yes, but there's a hubris there that can be intensely grating. Can't recommend it any more.

Very funny
This show makes me and my whole family laugh on a weekly basis. We have been listening for many years and hope to be listening for many more! Keep up the laughs and thank you for all the years of laughs.
