He talks about why he chose radiology versus another specialty of medicine. Find out if Gage is an introvert or an extrovert?  He goes over the big benefits of radiology that made it the right fit for him, and maybe for someone else out there as well. Learn how close he was to thinking about going into pathology. 13 - 21 minutes: Why did Dennis choose to get into sonography versus other parts of radiology. Episode 9 1- 5 minutes: Beginning your healthcare career after you graduate. In sonography when should you take an image and when not. Don't be afraid to ask for help!! 5- 8 minutes: What it was like when Dennis went through school with competency to how it has changed. Doing competencies at various programs for sonography. 9- 10 minutes: A great B mode scanning tip for kidneys and stones. (try it out if your a sonography with stones and you wont do it another way again). 10- 12: Different ways to get students scan time and make the sonographers comfortable. 13- 20: Tips for new sonographers enter into the workforce. Gage gives great tips new rads and sonographers. Treat every patient like the people you love. 22- 24: Having to put the sonographer impression papers into the patient's medical records. Pros and cons. 25- 30: We have all missed things on accident and made a mistake. Different skill levels make a difference in everything you do. Experience is key. 30- 36: The amount of exams we do in the duration of a year, whenever you do something over and over it creates more opportunity to miss something. 36- 42: Once you are a new grad the amount of growth happens in the first 5 years is huge. 42- till the end: One or two things in general that you have learned since starting the podcast

Questions Questions Questions!!
We dive deeper into the questions we have received from social media platforms.   1- 4 minutes: Gage talks about a hair experience you don't wanna miss. 5- 10 minutes: will an advanced sonographer practitioner exist? Why should it, and what would it look like if it did? 12- 15 minutes: Would an advanced sonography practitioner be something that radiologists would give up? 16- 18 minutes: When your name is the only name on the bottom of that report it changes your opinion and feelings when you take the responsibility.  18- 20 minutes: Liability of an advanced practitioner, or it would be a glorified resident. 22- 26 minutes: Advanced practitioner could help so much with radiologists by doing procedures. Gage talks about his optimum way of how he likes procedures done.  28- 30 minutes: Setting up protocols and who should take the phone calls from answering questions. 32 - 36 minutes: moving up the ranks in nursing world vs radiology world. Nursing world in comparison to radiology. 37- 40 minutes: Sonography is not just a gender reveal party. We are diagnostic not just for fun. 41- 44 minutes: Sonographers know what we are doing, we just can't tell the patients 45- 48 minutes: Exams that can be uncomfortable for some patients based on who is doing the exam. 49- 50 minutes  Traveling with pets 51 - end of the show: Gage's favorite segment.
