Back in January 2020, the Doomsday Clock was moved to 100 Seconds to Midnight, the closest it’s ever been since starting over 70 years ago. A significant reason given for this was the actions and inactions of the previous Administration in the United States. And that was before 2020 started delivering a non-stop series of rapidly escalating dangers and perils, including the horrific scenario presented by COVID-19 and a whole set of domestic conflicts. We are now officially living in the most dangerous time period that humanity has ever faced. This critical Race Against The Clock requires an urgent, united response. Fortunately, there are Voices of Reason who are raising the alarm and bringing attention to what can be done to pull the US – and by association, the rest of the world – back from the brink. The US has experienced a tumultuous 2020 Presidential Election and its aftermath. This highlighted that the very future of Democracy and the American Experiment is now clearly at stake. In this timely podcast series, Brian Richards sets out to find out more about the People behind these Voices of Reason, what drives them and what specific actions they recommend for the concerned citizen to help move that hand back, away from midnight.
