I’m well educated but didn’t know many of these details, so thank you for research and presentation. Teachers in High School and College may want to offer this series up to students. It’s not just a history lesson. Many parallels to current events

This is a well written documentary. I recommend anybody interested in US history, listen to this podcast.

This series is so well documented, so in depth about a time when most Americans alive today hadn’t been born yet. I was a kid through most of it, but I feel as if I were there. The parallels with today are overwhelming, and I thank her for showing us there might be some ways to persist and get through these impossible times.

The melodramatic presentation makes what could and should be a great show-mediocre.

The absolute best !

I generally enjoy listening to RM but this felt off. She just kept saying the same things over and over and over again. It felt pushy and almost like propaganda which is odd because I agree with everything she said and share the same perspective. There is just a very uncomfortable vibe that I can’t shake. It felt like she grabbed my head in her hands, and said see, look there! Do you see it!

Rachel Maddow has become a fast fav of mine, not only because of the historical context of her research and presentation but also the way she highlights how the information being presented has relevance to so much of what we are seeing in everyday life today. I, like many, believed the Republican Party was on track with much of their agenda and as I’ve gotten older I discovered their lost humanity has turned into vicious attacks on those less fortunate. Continuing to raise everyone by eliminating the obstacles systemic in our society is the only clear path forward and Rachel helps shine the light on the path forward.

I consider myself a moderate having voted Republican until my late 40s, but drifting more and more left as right-wing politics continues to erode the boundaries of church and state. I find Rachel’s reporting and commentary highly informative, well thought out and delivered with just enough humor to highlight how absurd politics often is. She also does an amazing job of reminding her listeners that history repeats and crazy times are nothing new - and that the “good old days” often were anything but. I know she has many critics, but I think she is just incredibly smart and articulate…
