Best Christian podcast
In contrast to previous reviewer, I very much appreciate Morgan's voice and her thoughtful interview questions. This production isn't flashy but it isn't dull either. It has timely topics, though it would be nice if they could incorporate more interviews with newsmakers in place of people who study or follow the newsmakers. Always a good listen on morning jogs.

Great discussions
Y’all are doing great work to create a space for conversation and sharing of ideas. Can’t wait for episodes to come back! Keep up the great work!

So good. Including Morgan’s voice.
I love this podcast. It has a lot of great insights into current events. Morgan and her cohosts are great to listen to along with their special guests who bring good expertise. And unlike other reviewers, I think Morgan’s particular timbre of voice is great. Thanks CT for years of great podcasts!

Look Forward to it Every Week
Stumbled onto this podcast and am so glad I did. Every discussion gives me a lot to think about and the guests are awesome.

Thrash.
Morgan is hard to listen to. Overuse of the word “like”, a tired and vocal thrash tone, and lacking energy. Sorry, but when topics and guests are compelling, and off putting host takes a lot away from the program.

Not biblically focused
Listened to about 10 podcasts, and have come to realize it’s just a worldly podcast with a little bit of Christ sprinkled in. Hosts are clearly liberal biased, and don’t even realize they are so. Guests are similar in most cases, intellectual, but more academic than anything else. Had hoped for a non-partisan approach to today’s challenges, but not finding it here.

Disappointing
Christianity Today provides an important, objective and thoughtful perspective on Christian life today. Quick to Listen is a disappointing exception. Ted Olsen embodies what I expect from CT…he approaches topics with an open mind, intelligent takes all grounded in a Jesus-centric outlook. On the other hand, Morgan Lee is almost insufferable. She sounds like the whiny Pat character from the 1990s SNL, but beyond her annoying delivery, she doesn’t address topics with the same depth of thought as Olsen or their guests. And worse, she has a tendency to turn the discussion into trite millennial tropes…pretty much the opposite of what I hope to get from CT content.

Wonderful podcast
I have enjoyed this podcast greatly. It’s rare to find caring, balanced discussion of issues today. Quick to Listen does a terrific job and is a good way to learn and test one’s own views/knowledge. Morgan Lee is a deeply thoughful moderator.

Kid Show
I’ve been listening to a few years, finally need to say it. This is one of the better Christian podcasts, but it’s certainly far from great. Morgan is a producer; she should stay a producer & get away from the microphone. Her dictation is poor & sounds mumbled & tired. More importantly, her feedback & insight is shallow. She lacks depth & I feel like I’m merely listening to a millennial’s side project that makes her feel important. The depth of this show is so “hot take” & “hashtag.” Nothing academic or thought provoking about this show on any level. Nice try, but it’s time for the grown ups to give it a try.

Insightful
I’m so glad I found this podcast. Each episode encourages me to reflect, ponder and think of my responsibility I have as a Christian. The guests they have interviewed are amazing and I always learn so much. What a great way to be encouraged, to consider others, and be enlightened in your walk with Christ! Can’t recommend this podcast enough!

Disappointing
It’s obvious the hosts read from a script. The episode introductions and questions are incredibly artificial. Don’t waste your time.

Good subjects chose to discuss
Thanks for tackling difficult subjects. I think if Simone Bile is used as a sermon illustration, it should be from a position of healthy self-care. She took care of herself in order to have more to give long term.

The success of Rick Warren and the claims of Jesus
This is my first experience with Quick to Listen podcast, and was enriched in my thinking by the insights from Gerardo Marti and his interviewers I was intrigued by the absence of any reference to Jesus in his explanation of the Saddleback phenomenon. I understand his approach was sociological rather than “Christian”. Nevertheless, a religion that claims its meaning not from philosophical reasoning, sociological cleverness or good marketing but from spiritual content that flows from direct communion with God and Jesus can be expected to reflect that claim in how it explains its success. Perhaps the fact that Marti could give such an en excellent review of Rick Warren and Saddleback without reference to the spiritual power and immanence of the core beliefs of the faith is in itself a very important revelation?

Reassessing our priors
The traveling to space interview is great! The guest was good at softly challenging a parochial mindset.

A general criticism
I love Quick To Listen and listen to the show regularly. One general comment: please stop down speaking. Ted Olsen does this a lot and it drives me crazy. He begins his sentences at one volume but by the time he’s nearing the end of the sentence, he’s speaking so quietly that I cannot hear him. Don’t drop off the cliff, brother! Speak up! Grandma can’t hear what you’re saying. Carry on. 😊

It Will Make You Think
If you are a Christian that wants to remain relavent in your thinking and be better able to share your faith this is for you. If you are someone simply interested in what Christians are “thinking” then this is also for you.

Open, engaging and faithful
Current topics which are discussed in an open, intelligent and faithful manner. Though not an Evangelical I feel welcome to the table. I find that the hosts are respectful toward their guests, ask difficult questions and engage in clarifying dialogue. Thank you Morgan & Ted.

Engaging and Timely
As someone who grew up in Christian culture, worked at a church, and now serves in the nonprofit space, this helps me wrestle through the issues of the day that I want to understand. The episode topics are timely and relevant, the conversations are interesting, the guests are high-caliber, and the hosts ask good questions.

For all Christ Followers and those who are curious
Like one of the show hosts I too am Anglican as well as a follower of Jesus Christ. Quick to Listen provides great interviews on a variety subjects as well as “food for thought”. Appropriate for all Christians as well as those who wish to know a bit more about who Christ Followers really are.

I love this podcast!
This is my favorite podcast! It has made me aware of issues that I have otherwise overlooked. One thing I really love about it is the “Precious Moments” segment, where the presenters and guests each share something that brought them joy in the past week. It really serves to humanize the people behind the podcast!

Thoughtful Podcast
Quick to listen podcast follows in the great tradition of Christianity Today, looking at relevant topics from the framework of Biblical authority looking at thoughtful applications to those issues. Well done.

Solid
New listener here. I came across the show “Homelessness is Vexing American Cities”, and found it insightful and informative. The homelessness issue is much more complicated than people think. Keep up the great work!

Solid Baseline for Relevant Issues
Christianity Today’s official podcast is a great source of thoughtful reflection through a general Christian perspective on issues relevant to a wife audience. The guests on the show often bring sophisticated nuance and perspective on often oversimplified events and ideas in major media outlets. The podcast can at times come off as a bit too informal and linger on subjects that are no relevant to its wide audience. However, I for one keep listening to it on a weekly basis as a much appreciated part of my intellectual and theological diet.

Humble, thoughtful, informed conversations with experts from an evangelical perspective.
This is one of the top 2 or 3 podcasts I listen to. I appreciate the hosts desire to further the conversation and add historical and theological depth to current issues. The hosts do a great job inviting guests who are knowledgeable in their field and come from a variety of evangelical backgrounds. It has widened my perspective and given me a greater appreciation for God’s work both domestically and globally. I love that their tone is humble, seeking to listen and understand. While it is open to differing perspectives, they fall within the historic orthodox beliefs of Christianity.

Content goes right along with the title
I’ve greatly enjoyed Morgen, Ted, and their guests as they tackle sensitive, timely issues every week.

At the intersection of Thought and Culture
I really love this podcast. Roman Catholics often seem to engage social issues with more thought and depth than evangelical protestants. Quick to Listen is an exception to this. I’ve been listening for years with Morgan and Mark and now Morgan and Ted. Morgan is very thoughtful and has journalistic acumen that knows to ask tough questions in a gentle way. I really appreciate the show’s approach and the experts they bring in for discussion.

Very balanced and informative.

Podcast Model Citizen
I love this podcast because it is moderated & edited well with great & informative topics, and reasonable perspectives shared. I do like how the guests and hosts share what they’ve taken joy from in that week. And we all want to hear recommendations about shows, movies and board games! A+! They openly welcome feedback, they provide ways to reach out. I love the magazine & this supplemental podcast. Perhaps periodically poll on Twitter something they can share results about on the show!

Loving God With Our Minds
I have been an avid fan of the thoughtful interviews and commentary on Quick to Listen for years. The guests are top tier and the hosts (current and past) model a level of inquiry that draws listeners into a conversation from which we can truly learn.

A Christian podcast about REAL topics happening right now (not just the typical Christian podcasts). And I enjoy the hosts.

A Show I Look Forward to Each Week
I have been listening for a few years and have gone back to listen to most of the early shows and can say the show format and content is a welcome addition to the podcast world. The hosts have changed (though I think Morgan has been involved from the beginning) but the content and guests always bring to me something I personally would not search out myself and they keep it interesting and informative.
