I am super interested in history but wanted something outside of the normal ones I listen to that are kind of dry and just spit facts at you. While I love those too I needed something that didn’t put me to sleep at work lol. Enjoy the side comments and back and forth between the hosts, literally could care less they Americanize names etc because honestly who cares this isn’t meant to be a serious historically perfect podcast. They give a great background on every person they speak about and do the best they can to tell things that are accurate to the best of their ability to research. Let’s be real records of women in history are sparse at best and even super famous or infamous women that were written about were written about by men who viewed them as inferior so like why bother being accurate. I appreciate they try to find facts about these women and don’t focus on the men they are connected to and leave the women as an afterthought

I love Katy and Nathan’s energy! I’m a sucker for history already but these two make it even more fun. They’re able to strike the right balance of being funny and lighthearted (when appropriate) while still being respectful. I get so excited whenever a new episode drops because it’s like hearing from two of your friends.

It’s a fun, silly podcast to listen to while doing other things. Their grammar is atrocious, they can’t be bothered to learn how to pronounce names other than standard western names, and it’s poorly researched. I still enjoy it, but take it with a grain of salt.

Nathan and Katy are truly a gem and I get a little bit of a serotonin boost whenever I see a new episode drop. As a history major, specifically studying royalty, and a huge gossip nerd, I gotta say their research is usually more accurate than most. And I love hearing their perspective on things! I was one of the fortunate ones who got to pick a topic in this season, and Katy was so sweet to talk to and get the topic started. They are amazing! Katy’s random rants about things she’s grateful for should be its own show!

I’ve become such a huge fan of Katie and Nathan!! They are funny and educational! They explain everything in way I can understand and I don’t fall asleep, always kept on my toes. Keep it up Queens! I love y’all!! Ps. I love the cussing and dirty talk. lol keep it up!

I genuinely enjoy the style and subject matter but i can’t get past how disrespectfully y’all handle non european cultures, learning how to pronounce names is the bare minimum when it comes to research.

I’ve been listening for years and at times have been part of their patreon at times although eventually I left the patreon because the content was too disorganized. They now do commercials multiple times in 45 minute episodes and when I finally listened to an episode in their new season learned that the topics are being chosen by top level patreon supporters. I just can’t shake the grossness of that.

I love this podcast! I wish I could support through Patreon, but I would totally support if you created a cocktail cookbook! I love the banter between Katie and Nathan and learning about different Queens from Elizabeth Woodville to Tina Turner.

I found this podcast when wanting something new and interested in hearing more about Anne Boleyn. Everything is fun and well structured, however I find that the hosts constantly interrupt each other and that can get a bit annoying. I also immediately turned it off when I heard Nathan use the “R” word. The episode was from 2018, but I still find that it’s common knowledge not to use that phrasing. I probably won’t listen to anymore. Good concept, just not for everyone.

So I was really looking forward to the Selena episode and was surprised on how poorly it was executed. You emphasized about how her lyrics meant so much and didn’t even bother to translate them for non Spanish speakers and when you guys “sang” her songs you just mumbled a bunch of gibberish. That was low key disrespectful and I expected more from y’all. Other than the Selena episode you guys usually do really well. The banter may be much for people but the great things is there’s this awesome button that allows you to fast forward! So overall NOT bad but as a proud Latina please don’t play with la reina lbvs.

My favorite podcast. I listen to it while I’m cooking or getting ready and often find my husband paused in a doorway listening in (even though he swears he’s not). You go, Queens.

I’ve been listening to you guys for years and love your show. Katie talks too fast sometimes but it’s usually not a problem. However, I just tried to listen to part 3 of Catherine Howard and Katie was talking so fast that I just had to turn it off.

When I was in high school and college, I LOVED history, but remembering all the dates, facts, etc. could be super monotonous. I’d draw out comic-like episodes for my friends and retell the stories - sometimes silly, sometimes raunchy - and guess what group of students aced history?!? Yup. When I listen to Katy & Nathan, it’s like taking my memories and adding 1000 times more sizzle and pop! I LOVE their irreverent take on so many things…because it makes the facts MEMORABLE. And let’s be real, there is a lot in history that truly shouldn’t be talked about with so much awe and honor…these were humans, and humans are…messy. And gross. And violent. And yuck. Or can be. Katy and Nathan do not shy away from calling a spade, a spade - - - or lifting up those who have either been (perhaps) unfairly vilified and/or just about forgotten. They do deep dives into each person they present, including family trees, time period analyses and giving show notes if you want to go down your own rabbit holes. Sure, there are lots of other history shows out there (I listen to them…guess what? Katy and Nathan do too!), but I promise you this - if you give Queens Podcast a chance, you’ll come back for more!

Katie and Nathan are literally my best friends at this point. They give such a fresh take on your favorite historical girlies. It’s not often a history podcast is able to teach you all sorts of new things while also making you laugh so hard you almost pee your pants. I listen to Queen’s Podcast whenever I’m doing chores around the house and my husband is always amazed to see me smiling to myself while doing dishes and laundry. When a new episode comes out, it feels like Christmas! If you haven’t checked out Queen’s Podcast, you’re really missing out. A millenial history obsessed girl’s dream, truly.

Listening to Katy and Nathan is seriously like nerding out with your slightly drunk college besties. History can be a stuffy subject, so it was refreshing to find a podcast that mirrors my internal dialogue when reading about historical figures, like poor Katherine Howard having to literally Stanky Leg with Henry VIII, or how Cleopatra was playing the field and loving it. They also stoke my feminist fire, detailing the amazing strengths and feats of historical female figures. They curse, they have crude and immature humor; it’s delightful. They even have a disclaimer at the beginning of every show, so if that isn’t for you they will give you plenty of other podcast recommendations.

I have recommended this podcast to anyone who will listen. The info is presented in a way that’s super digestible but not dumbed down, and literally makes me LOL. Just the best.

This show! Katy and Nathan manage to pull off being well-researched, conscientious, hilarious, compassionate, and honest about their subjects. I love learning about ladies I missed in history (Caterina Sforza!) and fresh takes on those I’m familiar with (Hiiiiii 6 wives of Henry VIII.) History is just old gossip, and these two make it feel like you’re chatting with good friends about your shared favorite subject.

These hosts are a lot of fun, but what I really appreciate is that they do the work! Their research is spot on and I also love hearing about their research process. I’d give it a 10/10 but Apple limits us, so 5 stars it is!

Absolutely love this podcast! It’s funny, entertaining, and you learn about powerful women in history. The way that Katie and Nathan teach about these women is also special because there’s times when I learn more about someone or they talk about someone that I’ve never heard about. The cocktails and most importantly the catchphrases are amazing. I’ve learned a lot from these podcasts and highly recommend listening.

I love learning about history and was excited to find one dedicated to Queens. Unfortunately, the hosts and their delivery are irritating. I actually cringed listening to this. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 just to be less harsh. Noble Blood is a much better podcast for those who really care about historical facts.

This podcast grabs your attention and keeps it fun and interesting. Love the stories of Queens I’m not as familiar with. They warn you about the cussing repeatedly- stop complaining about the dirty words people!
