On the latest episode of the Queen City Buzz podcast, I am welcomed by Konata Edwards. He writes for DIME and also is the mastermind behind Dispatches From Spectrum – Charlotte Hornets Coverage From The Ground Floor.  Nata and I gave our assessments of the Hornets through 18 games (17 at the time of recording). We went through how each rotation player is performing in their new role. We also discuss current trends with this team along with talking about the heartbreaking loss to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. Nata and I were both in attendance, so we give our first-person point of view on how the Spectrum Center felt after Zach LaVine’s game-winner. We illustrate all of the things we saw and heard postgame from James Borrego and in the locker room from the players.

Jake Paynting of SB Nation’s Canis Hoopus – Timberwolves’ SB Nation website – joined the Queen City Buzz to discuss the Hornets-Timberwolves after the game Friday. Karl Anthony-Towns lit up the Spectrum Center to explode for 37 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks in the win. Terry Rozier’s early foul trouble made him sit out the second quarter after leading his team to a 25-6 start in the first quarter. The Timberwolves went on a 26-4 run that completely dismantled the Hornets’ pace and entire offensive flow resulting in the Timberwolves running away with the game.
