I am amazed at the factual information being discussed- I wish more individuals had the opportunity watch this podcast, to make better choices when they vote - I believe it essential that Republicans and their leaders and senators take note and use these examples to learn and come up with better strategies and plans of action to support TRUMP to save America.

I appreciate Norm’s knowledge and advocacy for Palestinians about the Middle East - I can’t identify with his huge ego but he is a lonely voice for justice and has my respect. Also he needs to learn new media skills- he has to give more pithy answers to reach more people- his professorial style doesn’t work with social media. Thanks for all you do!

Is Aaron compromised by money or connected to the centers of power? He appears to NOT pay fealty to either. His sometimes bed head and relative anonymity as journalist signal no. He’s not polished like Brian Stelter or Jesse Waters. That’s because he’ll actually step foot in Syria or he is simply not in studio. A studio gangster he is not. An unwavering dedication to TRUTH no matter what the cost is what I want. Aaron delivers.

Thanks for the PSA about avoiding this book. A fictional story about the lives of CIA agents in Syria glowingly reviewed by David Patreus? No thanks. Let the author work out his justifications for being in the business of western imperialism with his therapist or else write a non-fiction confessional. Otherwise, this work of fiction would seem to serve no one but the author, himself.

An absolutely necessary podcast in these dark days of political and corporate delirium. Aaron does fantastic work, asking the questions that established media outlets actively work to avoid. He gives fantastic perspectives of American imperialism and numerous issues affecting global communities and people. A must listen for anyone wanting to stay informed with issues concerning unchecked government power, corporate hegemony and the invisible intelligence war.

Intense discussion! I so appreciate your show and what you do. There’s this issue with both liberals (and some left) and the right that they just take the opposite opinion of each other; if the right is for it, the liberals are against it, if the liberals are for it, the right is against it. It takes all the nuance out of every topic and prevents you from having any real understanding. Thank you for being that nuance.

It’s not a bad podcast by any means but it’s pretty obvious that there’s no “push back” on left leaning guests. Don’t know if he’s scared to these days (cant blame him) or just flat out agrees but he’s very easy on BLM/Left guests.

I had high hopes for Aaron’s podcast, but I can get the same super-biased info from watching Democracy Now! Sad. 🤷‍♂️ @Aaron - If you’re covering the Kenosha shootings, you should at least do so honestly. Rittenhouse was being chased and fired upon before returning fire. Whether you’re knowingly or unknowingly being ignorant of this, it’s poor journalism and reminiscent of the initial Covington kids coverage. Do better.

I’ve followed Aaron for Democracy Now to The Real News to this show and, as always, he remains thorough, disciplined, clear, incisive, fact based/supported (wherever that takes the story) and fearless in his reporting. I admire his courage and greatly value his work.

Aaron Mate is the best young progressive reporter. He is meticulous and careful not to overstate what he knows and he was one of just a few progressives reporters who accurately reported on Russiagate earning him blinding jealously from his peers in establishment media. If you want your news from the best, you just found him. Plus his dad Gabor Mate is some kind of psychological genius who occasionally appears to talk about politics on deeper, interesting level.

Aaron is one of the best!! I always read/listen to his reporting. So refreshing, insightful and fact based journalism!! Thank you Aaron.

Journalists like Glenn Greenwald, Ray McGovern, and Matt Taibbi (to name a few) did a phenomenal job debunking the false #Resistance hoax that our failed, neoliberal elites tried to feed us in the form of Russiagate. None of them were able to match Mr. Maté’s work on it though. Facing constant smears from his own left-side of the aisle, he persevered. His fearlessness and commitment to the truth brought us some of the best reporting I’ve witnessed in my life time. His analysis, and ability to communicate said analysis, is critical for us media-consumers to understand what’s actually going on in the world. If you’re interested in actually resisting a Trump presidency, Pushback is the podcast for you.
