
Signs of Heat Exhaustion
Excessive Panting (prolonged period)
Really Dry Nose, Lethargic
Thick sticky, drool
Gums changing color (bright red or blue)
Lack of urine
Rapid heart rate:
Muscle Spasms or Tremors
Shivering or shaking excessively
dizziness ( can't walk straight)
Preventing Heat Exhaustion
Never leave a dog alone in a vehicle
Make sure Dog has access to fresh clean water at all times, and don't leave them outside for long periods
Avoid walking your dog during peak temperature hours -- you may be able to handle the heat a lot better.
