Heat Exhaustion-Signs and How to Prevent
Signs of Heat Exhaustion Excessive Panting (prolonged period) Really Dry Nose, Lethargic Thick sticky, drool Gums changing color (bright red or blue) Lack of urine Rapid heart rate: Muscle Spasms or Tremors Shivering or shaking excessively dizziness ( can't walk straight) Preventing Heat Exhaustion Never leave a dog alone in a vehicle Make sure Dog has access to fresh clean water at all times, and don't leave them outside for long periods Avoid walking your dog during peak temperature hours -- you may be able to handle the heat a lot better.
