In this very special episode, Alexander stayed within the Netherlands to have a conversation with Marc Verburg. Marc is a single gay man of 53 years old who wrote and published a very controversial novel, called VERNEUKT, what stands for FUCKED UP! The book tells us a part of his life where drugs, sex, addiction, and a lot of sleepless nights (literally) are centralized. On one hand his ex-partner became addicted to drugs and sex, but on the other hand, it seemed like that Marc became addicted to his ex-partner and his relationship. In today’s episode Alexander and Marc are zooming in on the addiction towards a partner or relationship. The main question of today will be “How to end a dysfunctional relationship which is unfolding in an addiction and how to prevent yourself the next time". To answer this question several sub-questions will be answered, such as at which point is a relationship becoming dysfunctional, why are we pulling people towards us, who are actually pushing us away, what is addiction and how to focus on yourself again?
