Sel-sel pembau tersebut akan terangsang dan merubah rangsangan tersebut menjadi Sinyal yang kemudian mengirimkannya ke Otak melalui Saraf Pembau. Dengan demikian kita dapat mencium berbagai macam bau dari udara luar.
