He gave them power and authority to do what He was doing. He did not give them all wisdom, all knowledge, nor all understanding.  He required them to go by faith. This life for Jesus is a process. And we are all learning. Let this life be an adventure for you as you learn to lean and trust in God.  Ask Him questions, the disciples did when they ran into problems. The ministry of John the Baptist was so timely. The people of God were ready for the Messiah. It was with the message of God that John the Baptist went. He went out to prepare a people to meet the Lord. He came baptizing men and women telling them to repent and get ready for God's kingdom.  During his baptisms, Jesus came on the scene to demonstrate the kingdom principle of being born of water and Spirit Himself. Remember that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John submitted and so did Jesus by this act the Righteousness of God is fulfilled.
