Earlier this year, I sent four poems off for a submission and assumed, erroneously, that because I'd not heard back that I'd not been successful. Here's the story of a tiny pamphlet, several moments of sheer, unadulterated brilliance and how it is high time I stopped trying to be something that I am most definitely never going to be.
