In episode 56 I shared with you the benefits of doing something long, hard and lonely and told you of my efforts to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.  As I was editing that show I came across the MT Nester blog creator Julie Hoppe.  

 

I’m a firm believer in positive impacts both physically and more importantly mentally that doing something long, hard and lonely so I quickly wanted to learn more about her efforts.

 

Julie decided to strike out on her own with a goal to visit a national park in each state within the US.  Although her travels have also taken her abroad.  If you’ve ever traveled solo you know that there is a fair bit of anxiety associated with it and I admired her courage in striking out on this adventure.
