This week I decided to share a story from my personal experiences.  There’s a saying that goes something like you cannot love someone else until you learn to love yourself?

Well in that same vein I don’t know how much we can help others unless we take care of ourselves.

Let’s start with our quote of the week

The qualities and capacities that are important in running-such factors as will power, the ability to apply effort during extreme fatigue and the acceptance of pain-have a radiating power that subtly influences one's life.—Jim Fixx

The story I will be sharing with you today isn’t about running (I’ll share that another time) but I attribute much of my self confidence to having completed a couple of marathons.  The most important of which without a doubt was that first one.

Now on to the story I wanted to share with you.  The story of my ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
