Before the world started wearing masks because of the Covid 19 Pandemic, Nigerians have been wearing masks, not for health reason but because it is an essential part of their culture. Meena and her very knowledgeable guest, The Crosseyednerd, talk extensively about the Yoruba culture and its Masquerades, why they exist, and why we still have them today. African masks are fascinating cultural symbols and were very important in keeping the peace, they are sacred and highly instrumental in keeping the peace in a community. #masks #covid19 #africanmasks
