This week's episode is celebratory. Proactive Eye Podcast is a year old and I am so grateful to all of you who have supported me from the beginning to now. For those of you who do not know me, feel free to go back through some of the old posts on the blog, the year long catalog on the podcast, or on my YouTube channel where I share more details I do not disclose on the blog or the podcast. I feel it is important for you to get to know me on the same levels I talk about and YouTube (ElegantGrannyTV) is where I share more details.

This one is tough. How do you deal with the loss of someone you know or love who died by suicide? I can start by telling you how it made me feel – helpless, scared, angry, abandoned, guilty, etc. I never knew what caused my loved ones to leave me this way, and it is possible I will never know.
My prayer is that this episode will give you some options on how to recover after your loss.

Spiritual abuse is not limited to a certain religion or denomination. Any person, of any belief system, is capable of perpetrating spiritual ( or religious) abuse, just as anyone can be the victim of it.
My hope is that everyone is in a safe place and enjoying time with their loved ones.

Defined by One Love Foundation, emotional abuse is any abusive behavior that isn’t physical, which may include verbal aggression, intimidation, manipulation, and humiliation, which most often unfolds as a pattern of behavior over time that aims to diminish another person’s sense of identity, dignity and self-worth, and which also results in anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and post-traumatic stress (PTSD).

Pro-Tip: For your safety, it may be wise to delete your texts after the conversation, particularly if your abuser has access to your phone.
