One birthday cake candle lit,
An emergency room to sit.
Two shoes put onto my feet,
Two video game levels to beat.
Three times a carol so very merry,
Three voices in a group call on a ferry.
It's the experiences the we count,
Good times captured on life's camera to mount.
Many of our experiences are good. And even with the bad we learn from.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Seek the fluid motion,
Ease into the blowing wind.
A seemingly quick rotation,
Where there is no end.
One left step gets one right,
Never to let balance off sight.
String pulled is string moved,
What gets your body to groove?
Life's fulfilling when in a state of flow

Wind blown to the right,
A little bit off sight.
Under a dimming bridge,
Through the sun blazing ridge.
Lights ahead past the darkness,
Sometimes it's best to postpone a rest
Keep going on course despite the odds

Blades of grass grown,
Blowing in the wind merrily,
New memories to be sewn,
Feelings gathered so heavily,
The daybreak brings renewal,
Broken free from times so cruel.

Soft blanket on a rainy day,
Pillows fluffed before plopping into the bed,
It's just the simple things they say,
Best with hot cocoa and a movie instead.

Memories in the rear view window,
New water splashes each lane switched,
Only new roads in gear to go,
New adventures that I wouldn't want to miss.
Trecking forward along songs of old,
Gotta keep my head forward to each coming road.
Not to get distracted by the passing cars,
Shifted in gear to pass all those fears

A poem talking about not feeling the way you want to;
"How can I yell at something that wasn't there,
When I scream into my mind that it's not fair,
Out of the depths onto written paper,
How am I supposed to feel good about this later,
Running around a triangle pointed too sharply,
Rotating life's unsettling truths not so lightly,
Where is the direction that I've been wanting,
Rather than this unsupportive voice so haunting,
I wanted hands to hold not voices to judge me,
Just pacing back and forth trying to let it all be"
