I just wanted to take a few minutes and reflect on why I wanted to start this podcast. As I've talked to more premed, I've learned how poor/outdated the advice out there is. So many premeds have dealt with poor mentors/advisors who have discouraged them from medicine or just given poor guidance. My goal with this podcast it help provide a clear path to medicine from the perspective of different current medical students. 

In this episode I sit down with Samantha Gomez, a current MS4 at UTSW, and we discuss her journey to medical school. Sam talks about how her epilepsy as a child and her neurologist inspired her to become a physician. In this podcast, my pharmacist friend discusses pharmacy school, working as a retail pharmacist, switching to medical school, and fitness. There are a lot of golden nuggets of knowledge Kevin provides in this podcast and it was such a joy to talk to him on a more vulnerable level.
