God’s Plan for Peace
In a world searching for peace, God reveals it through a Person. From Isaiah’s prophecy of the Prince of Peace, to heaven’s announcement over Bethlehem, and finally to the peace made through the cross, this message traces God’s perfect plan. True peace is not found in circumstances, but in Christ—promised, proclaimed, and purchased for us. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Isaiah 9:6 “6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name is called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.” Luke 2:8-14 “8 And there were shepherds in that country abiding without, and keeping watch by night over their flock.9 And lo, an angel of [the] Lord was there by them, and [the] glory of [the] Lord shone around them, and they feared [with] great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, Fear not, for behold, I announce to you glad tidings of great joy, which shall be to all the people;11 for to-day a Saviour has been born to you in David’s city, who is Christ [the] Lord.12 And this is the sign to you: ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling-clothes, and lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good pleasure in men.” Colossians 1:20 ” having made peace by the blood of his cross” The post God’s Plan for Peace appeared first on Preachers Corner.

God’s perfect purpose
As 2025 draws to a close, we are led to pause and reflect on the passing year. This gospel message directs our thoughts to a far greater moment—when Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 “3 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens:2 A time to be born, and a time to die” John 16:28 “28 I came out from the Father and have come into the world; again, I leave the world and go to the Father.” Isaiah 53:6 “6 All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all.” The post God’s perfect purpose appeared first on Preachers Corner.

Emmanuel – God with us
There is good news for all at Christmas: God has drawn near in Jesus Christ to each one of us, revealing His love and offering salvation. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Matthew 1:18-22 “18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was thus: His mother, Mary, that is, having been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child of [the] Holy Spirit.19 But Joseph, her husband, being [a] righteous [man], and unwilling to expose her publicly, purposed to have put her away secretly; 20 but while he pondered on these things, behold, an angel of [the] Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, fear not to take to [thee] Mary, thy wife, for that which is begotten in her is of [the] Holy Spirit.21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for *he* shall save his people from their sins.22 Now all this came to pass that that might be fulfilled which was spoken by [the] Lord, through the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is, being interpreted, ‘God with us.” Matthew 27-33-36 “33 And having come to a place called Golgotha, which means Place of a skull, 34 they gave to him to drink vinegar mingled with gall; and having tasted [it], he would not drink.35 And having crucified him, they parted his clothes amongst [themselves], casting lots.36 And sitting down, they kept guard over him there.37 And they set up over his head his accusation written: This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” Matthew 28:20 “*I* am with you all the days, until the completion of the age.” Hebrews 11:6 “6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]. For he that draws near to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them who seek him out.” The post Emmanuel – God with us appeared first on Preachers Corner.

Three Writings
In this gospel preaching, you will hear of three writings from God’s Word: the writing on the wall, which speaks of judgement; the writing on the ground, which reveals grace; and the writing in the heavens, which gives assurance. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Daniel 5:5-6 “5 In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. 6 Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, and the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.” Daniel 5:27 “27 TEKEL, Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting;” John 8:6-9 “But Jesus, having stooped down, wrote with his finger on the ground.7 But when they continued asking him, he lifted himself up and said to them, Let him that is without sin among you first cast the stone at her.8 And again stooping down he wrote on the ground.9 But they, having heard [that], went out one by one beginning from the elder ones until the last; and Jesus was left alone and the woman standing there.” Luke 10:20 “20 Yet in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice that your names are written in the heavens.” The post Three Writings appeared first on Preachers Corner.

A Saviour for Everyone
There is forgiveness for everyone in the Gospel. God sent His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Saviour of sinners. At the cross, Jesus laid down His life and shed his blood for you, and through this sacrifice God forgives every sin. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Matthew 19:13-15 13 Then there were brought to him little children that he might lay his hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and do not hinder them from coming to me; for the kingdom of the heavens is of such: 15 and having laid his hands upon them, he departed thence.” Luke 8:40-56 “40 And it came to pass when Jesus returned, the crowd received him gladly, for they were all expecting him.41 And behold, a man came, whose name was Jairus, and he was [a] ruler of the synagogue, and falling at the feet of Jesus besought him to come to his house,42 because he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. And as he went the crowds thronged him. 43 And a woman who had a flux of blood since twelve years, who, having spent all her living on physicians, could not be cured by any one,44 coming up behind, touched the hem of his garment, and immediately her flux of blood stopped.45 And Jesus said, Who has touched me? But all denying, Peter and those with him said, Master, the crowds close thee in and press upon thee, and sayest thou, Who has touched me? 46 And Jesus said, Some one has touched me, for *I* have known that power has gone out from me.47 And the woman, seeing that she was not hid, came trembling, and falling down before him declared before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was immediately healed.48 And he said to her, [Be of good courage,] daughter; thy faith has healed thee; go in peace. 49 While he was yet speaking, comes some one from the ruler of the synagogue, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher.50 But Jesus, hearing it, answered him saying, Fear not: only believe, and she shall be made well.51 And when he came to the house he suffered no one to go in but Peter and John and James and the father of the child and the mother. 52 And all were weeping and lamenting her. But he said, Do not weep, for she has not died, but sleeps. 53 And they derided him, knowing that she had died.54 But *he*, having turned them all out and taking hold of her hand, cried saying, Child, arise.55 And her spirit returned, and immediately she rose up; and he commanded [something] to eat to be given to her.56 And her parents were amazed; but he enjoined them to tell no one what had happened.” The post A Saviour for Everyone appeared first on Preachers Corner.

So Near and Yet So Far
In this message you will hear of two sons, two robbers, and a father and his son, each account revealing a different response to truth and grace. It reflects on how someone may live close to Christ in knowledge or position, yet remain distant in heart, while also setting before the hearer the mercy and forgiveness available through genuine repentance and faith in Him. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Luke 15:28-32 “And his father went out and besought him.29 But he answering said to his father, Behold, so many years I serve thee, and never have I transgressed a commandment of thine; and to me hast thou never given a kid that I might make merry with my friends: 30 but when this thy son, who has devoured thy substance with harlots, is come, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.31 But he said to him, Child, *thou* art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.32 But it was right to make merry and rejoice, because this thy brother was dead and has come to life again, and was lost and has been found.” Luke 23:39-43 “39 Now one of the malefactors who had been hanged spoke insultingly to him, saying, Art not thou the Christ? save thyself and us.40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost *thou* too not fear God, thou that art under the same judgment? 41 and *we* indeed justly, for we receive the just recompense of what we have done; but this [man] has done nothing amiss.42 And he said to Jesus, Remember me, [Lord,] when thou comest in thy kingdom.43 And Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Daniel 5:17-22 “17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet will I read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation.18 O thou king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty;19 and for the greatness that he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew, and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he exalted, and whom he would he humbled. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit hardened unto presumption, he was deposed from the throne of his kingdom, and they took his glory from him; 21 and he was driven from the sons of men, and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses; they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was bathed with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the Most High God ruleth over the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.22 And thou, Belshazzar, his son, hast not humbled thy heart, although thou knewest all this;” The post So Near and Yet So Far appeared first on Preachers Corner.

The God of the valleys
Is God only found on the mountaintops? This talk explores the powerful truth that God is also the God of the valleys. Through Scripture, we see how He meets His people in weakness, fear, and broken places—turning valleys of battle, sorrow, and silence into wells of blessing, hope, and renewed strength. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  1 Kings 20:26-30 “26 And it came to pass, at the return of the year, that Ben-Hadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Israel. 27 And the children of Israel were numbered and victualled, and they went against them; and the children of Israel encamped before them like two little flocks of goats; but the Syrians filled the land. 28 And the man of God drew near, and spoke to the king of Israel and said, Thus saith Jehovah: Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the mountains, but he is not a god of the valleys, I will give all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. 29 And they encamped one over against the other seven days; and it came to pass that on the seventh day the battle was joined; and the children of Israel smote of the Syrians a hundred thousand footmen in one day. 30 And the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and the wall fell on twenty-seven thousand men of them that were left. And Ben-Hadad fled, and came into the city, [from] chamber to chamber.” Psalm 84:5-12 “5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee,—they, in whose heart are the highways.6 Passing through the valley of Baca, they make it a well-spring; yea, the early rain covereth it with blessings. 7 They go from strength to strength: [each one] will appear before God in Zion.8 Jehovah, God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. 10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness.11 For Jehovah Elohim is a sun and shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.12 Jehovah of hosts, blessed is the man that confideth in thee!” Psalms 23:4-5 “4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Hosea 2:14-15 “14 Therefore behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak to her heart.15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.” The post The God of the valleys appeared first on Preachers Corner.

Mercy – God’s gift to us
At the cross, God’s mercy meets the sinner—offering healing, forgiveness, and the gift of new life through Jesus. In this gospel, you’ll encounter a blind man who receives sight and the Good Samaritan, both revealing God’s love and mercy toward us. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Mark 10:46-52 “46 And they come to Jericho, and as he was going out from Jericho, and his disciples and a large crowd, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, the blind [man], sat by the wayside begging.47 And having heard that it was Jesus the Nazaraean, he began to cry out and to say, O Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me. 48 And many rebuked him, that he might be silent; but he cried so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.49 And Jesus, standing still, desired him to be called. And they call the blind [man], saying to him, Be of good courage, rise up, he calls thee. 50 And, throwing away his garment, he started up and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus answering says to him, What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And the blind [man] said to him, Rabboni, that I may see.52 And Jesus said to him, Go, thy faith has healed thee. And he saw immediately, and followed him in the way.” Luke 10:29-37 “29 But he, desirous of justifying himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour?30 And Jesus replying said, A certain man descended from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into [the hands of] robbers, who also, having stripped him and inflicted wounds, went away leaving him in a half-dead state. 31 And a certain priest happened to go down that way, and seeing him, passed on on the opposite side;32 and in like manner also a Levite, being at the spot, came and looked [at him] and passed on on the opposite side. 33 But a certain Samaritan journeying came to him, and seeing [him], was moved with compassion,34 and came up [to him] and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine; and having put him on his own beast, took him to [the] inn and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow [as he left], taking out two denarii he gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Take care of him, and whatsoever thou shalt expend more, *I* will render to thee on my coming back.36 Which [now] of these three seems to thee to have been neighbour of him who fell into [the hands of] the robbers?37 And he said, He that shewed him mercy. And Jesus said to him, Go, and do *thou* likewise.” 1 Peter 1:3-4 “3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ from among [the] dead,4 to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance, reserved in [the] heavens for you,” The post Mercy – God’s gift to us appeared first on Preachers Corner.

Do you know God?
The Gospel reveals to us the true and living God whom many still do not know. This Gospel message shows how God created all things, calls every person to repent, and has given assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world, the One appointed to judge the world in righteousness. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Acts 17:22-31 “22 And Paul standing in the midst of Areopagus said, Athenians, in every way I see you given up to demon worship;23 for, passing through and beholding your shrines, I found also an altar on which was inscribed, To the unknown God. Whom therefore ye reverence, not knowing [him], him I announce to you.24 The God who has made the world and all things which are in it, *he*, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands, 25 nor is served by men’s hands as needing something, himself giving to all life and breath and all things;26 and has made of one blood every nation of men to dwell upon the whole face of the earth, having determined ordained times and the boundaries of their dwelling,27 that they may seek God; if indeed they might feel after him and find him, although he is not far from each one of us:28 for in him we live and move and exist; as also some of the poets amongst you have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Being therefore [the] offspring of God, we ought not to think that which is divine to be like gold or silver or stone, [the] graven form of man’s art and imagination.30 God therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, now enjoins men that they shall all everywhere repent,31 because he has set a day in which he is going to judge the habitable earth in righteousness by [the] man whom he has appointed, giving the proof [of it] to all [in] having raised him from among [the] dead.” The post Do you know God? appeared first on Preachers Corner.

Salvation Comes to Philippi
When Paul and Silas came to Philippi, they came with a message — a message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ. This preaching shares how that same message still changes hearts, brings freedom, and fills lives with joy today. Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation  Acts 16:12-34 “12 and thence to Philippi, which is [the] first city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city certain days.13 And on the sabbath day we went outside the gate by the river, where it was the custom for prayer to be, and we sat down and spoke to the women who had assembled. 14 And a certain woman, by name Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, who worshipped God, heard; whose heart the Lord opened to attend to the things spoken by Paul.15 And when she had been baptised and her house, she besought [us], saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and abide [there]. And she constrained us.16 And it came to pass as we were going to prayer that a certain female slave, having a spirit of Python, met us, who brought much profit to her masters by prophesying. 17 She, having followed Paul and us, cried saying, These men are bondmen of the Most High God, who announce to you [the] way of salvation. 18 And this she did many days. And Paul, being distressed, turned, and said to the spirit, I enjoin thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And it came out the same hour.19 And her masters, seeing that the hope of their gains was gone, having seized Paul and Silas, dragged [them] into the market before the magistrates;20 and having brought them up to the praetors, said, These men utterly trouble our city, being Jews, 21 and announce customs which it is not lawful for us to receive nor practise, being Romans.22 And the crowd rose up too against them; and the praetors, having torn off their clothes, commanded to scourge [them].23 And having laid many stripes upon them they cast [them] into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely; 24 who, having received such a charge, cast them into the inner prison, and secured their feet to the stocks.25 And at midnight Paul and Silas, in praying, were praising God with singing, and the prisoners listened to them.26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison shook, and all the doors were immediately opened, and the bonds of all loosed. 27 And the jailor being awakened out of his sleep, and seeing the doors of the prison opened, having drawn a sword was going to kill himself, thinking the prisoners had fled.28 But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm, for we are all here.29 And having asked for lights, he rushed in, and, trembling, fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 And leading them out said, Sirs, what must I do that I may be saved?31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved, thou and thy house. 32 And they spoke to him the word of the Lord, with all that were in his house.33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed [them] from their stripes; and was baptised, he and all his straightway. 34 And having brought them into his house he laid the table [for them], and rejoiced with all his house, having believed in God.”h The post Salvation Comes to Philippi appeared first on Preachers Corner.
