Although issues like gender roles are controversial today, the Bible speaks to these things, giving clear instruction about God’s divine design for us. How has God designed you? Live according to His design as Jesus’ disciple.

There was nothing about Samson that demonstrated he was a man that God would use for His own glory, but God chose him. There is nothing about any of us that God would choose us, either…but He does.

Christian: Are you conscious in your Christianity? Are you aware of your witness and impact upon others around you? Be it with potential idols or anything else, in all that you do, do it for the glory of God!

The promises of God regarding His deliverance are amazing! What God says, He does; what God says is to be believed.

Don’t get disqualified from service; stay humble and dependent on the grace of Jesus!

As seen in the life of Jephthah, pride is dangerous. Kill pride before it kills you! Submit yourself to Jesus Christ in humility, letting Him help you through your pride.

What did Paul mean by writing that he became all things to all men that he might save some? He meant that he did what it took to get himself out of the way so that others could see Jesus.

Ancient Israel started up her cycle of apostasy again and the only way she would experience God’s mercy was through real repentance.  What they experienced spiritually with God, they would need to experience personally with Jephthah.

On the question of self-denial of one’s own Christian rights and liberties, the apostle Paul set a great example for the rest of us. Do what is best for the gospel! Trust Jesus with everything else.

Israel’s first king was not God’s choice for a king; it was a pretender, a usurper. Beware that you do not usurp what is God’s! He is the rightful God and King and He will not share His throne.
