I’ve listened to the show since pre-ChatGPT and have learned so much from you two. But not on the Deloitte episode. I hope it paid well!

I genuinely think this podcast is great
Which is why it pains me to write this review. I have been listening to the show religiously for over year now and the quality of the interviews and the topic matter is always well researched, insightful, and largely, although not always…practical. The most recent episode with Deborah Golden was so awful that couldn’t listen to it. She spoke ad nauseam in generic “consulting speak” that had absolutely no practical component to what she was talking about. Now I realize this may sound harsh, but I sincerely hope that this negative review is considered so that subsequent episodes do not make the same mistake of inviting guests who will drone on about the esoteric challenges their company addresses with a sense of self aggrandizement that can drive one batty. Please do better with future guests.

The Go‑To Podcast for AI
It cuts through hype with episodes like “Reimagining Actuarial Science” that show what’s actually getting done.

Language used was inappropriate
I love the podcast that Daniel and Chris produce. When I am in the car I like my 9 year old also listen to it. Recently AI vs devs that is not hosted by Daniel and Chris had an inappropriate language used. It would be nice to warn upfront so that I would not listen with my daughter. Thanks

Not great for the layman
I wanted to like this podcast since it seemed to be geared toward the layman. But unfortunately, it way too jargony and, like so many experts, the host understands stands the concepts well, but does not know how to communicate them clearly to people who do not share his background in the material. One example is the mini-series on p values where as best I can tell, he never actually defines the p value at all. While I appreciate the hosts efforts to try and bring this information to the public, it is not working for me.

Pretty good, but Daniel needs to stop saying “like”
Honestly, I’m no Boomer, but the “like” thing really has to stop, and I say that with peach and love. It’s off-putting to the more professional listeners and just not a good look in general. You can still be engaging and entertaining. I’d point to your guest Travis Fischer as a really good example to follow. An example NOT to follow was Erin Mikail Staples. While her info was valuable, she was absolutely unlistenable. It was really a chore to get through that show. Cringe barely begins to describe it.

Decent content, hard to listen
The guests are often interesting and so is the content, but the delivery makes it unbearable to listen to, like hosts using filler words every other second and getting lost in the arguments. The pod would work for starters in DS/ML and casual listeners but there isn’t enough quality for more senior folks

Not practical at all
Useless podcast, these just siting around talking about their history.

Excellent for beginners!
I’ve just begun my journey into researching machine learning and AI more widely, and Practical AI has been a light in the dark! Friendly, level, engaged, and interesting. Can’t wait for the next episode.

As a college student, love it
I'm currently majoring in Computer Systems Technology & wanting to pursue a career in Data Science using machine learning and things like that in the field. It's been hard to figure out what kinds of things I should be learning in my own time to better prepare for my future career. This podcast has really given me tremendous help in conceptualizing what it is that I want to do post-college. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Great scope and content of AI related topics
I’ve been listening to this podcast lately on my way to work, and I want to say I really enjoy the its scope and the practical aspects that it covers. I especially enjoyed episode 51 with Joel Grus as he shared a lot of his insights for programming for good science and have tried to embody his practices as well as watching some of his live coding sessions on Youtube, which are great. I’m doing research in NLP at a university and I’ve always felt like my research code was not quite professional and reader-friendly, and I made good use of the learning resources that this podcast always provides.
