Video and animation can foster a deeper level of engagement with your learners. But how do you shape strategic videos that inform, inspire, and reinforce learning objectives? d’Vinci Client Solutions Consultant Angeline Evans shares her expertise on using video to engage learners in this episode of Powered by Learning with hosts Susan Cort and Luke Kempski.

Show Notes:

  • Use video to communicate change with a trusted voice, such as a company CEO or a subject matter expert to make sure that people know why the training is relevant to them.
  • Consider using scenarios to help teach soft skills and provide opportunities to learn context around applying soft skills.
  • Use video to simplify tasks or to teach more hands-on skills.
  • Use video interviews with subject matter experts or peers to connect with the learners, and to do demos.
  • Using animated characters can help illustrate a scene when it’s difficult to use real people or when you’re trying to accomplish a diverse and relatable look.
  • Video is great for microlearning and building in interactions. It’s also easy to distribute across multiple platforms, including mobile.

Powered by Learning received the Award of Distinction from the 2021 Communicator Awards and is named to the Top 40 L&D Podcast list with Feedspot.
