This is my all time favorite podcast, and it is the best knitting industry podcast there is! Kara is an excellent and thoughtful host who asks great interview questions. I adore that she features designers, editors, and yarn dyers as it's a terrific sneak peek behind the curtain. I have listened to every single episode and loved them all!

An evening full of knitting while listening to a great podcast about knitting. Kara brings such an authentic voice to the craft. I'm loving hearing the voices and personalities behind the scenes of the fiber world. So much passion and creativity (and hard work!) goes into the pattern designs and yarns on the market today. It's really inspiring to hear the backstory.

I stumbled on this podcast when looking for topics on running a fiber based business. I instantly fell in love. The host is upbeat, full of information, and an insider in the knitter community working for a magazine (so she knows her stuff). Not only that there are exciting guest interviews with people from all different areas of the fiber world. I always know I'll get a fantastic tip (or five lol) every time I listen. I am not technologically savvy. So...just getting to the place where I could write this review took me 20 minutes! OY! But I kept with it because this podcast is worth the effort. I found Kara Gott Warner from listening to Yarn Thing with Marly Bird. I have now become a regular listener. Power Purls is relaxing to listen to but more importantly the content and guest are excellent. I enjoy the podcast greatly. I continue to listen to this podcast regularly. It is still a joy!!

What an amazing accomplishment! I listen to only a few podcasts in a regular basis and what a treat to wake up to an episode with two of my favorites in the same podcast! It was wonderful to hear the background on Marly's podcasts; its fresh every time I hear the story! I know she worries she talks too much, but I could listen to her talk for hours! Kara, you absolutely should try ditching all the editing and pre-recording and try doing some live podcasts on BlogTalk Radio!! You'd be great at it! I'll be looking forward to hearing about the future of Power Purls on the radio! Keep up the great work!

I have been listening to Kara for a while now, since the begining of 2016. I think she and the podcast are excellent. They are not only packed with information but they are fun and so inspiring. I am somewhat of a podcast junkie to be honest and I can say without a doubt she is in my top! I love her topics, her realisim and spirit. She brings so much more to the craft than just information. I love listening to creatives. I took up sewing a few years back just to add creative little details to store bought stuff as well as do my own minor alterations. Always have been intrigued by knitting. This show may finally get me to take that knitting class finally.

Kara’s podcast truly brings life to knitting and the fiber community. I have listened to every episode and love them all. Wonderful way to understand how many of the facets of the fiber community works, great tips and great stories.

If you're an aspiring knitwear designer, then this is a must-listen. Plus, it's just fun to talk a whole bunch about knitting!

I've only listened to two of these podcasts so this review only reflects immediate reactions to it. It does show promise although there are so many casts nowadays with interviews of people in the knitting industry. I fear that we will all become weary of hearing the same folks over and over. So far the questions have been interesting and fresh. Now here comes the big 'however'. Sound quality is important to my listening and if a phone interview sounds like the person on the other end is speaking from the inside of a box it makes the podcast less enjoyable. The in studio sound is generally excellent. Verbal fillers also distract me to put it mildly. I hope they will lessen as the podcast progresses. I hope I'm not sounding very critical. I just think there is a possible gem here with a tiny touch of tweaking. Sign me, Hard To Please.

This is a podcast with truthful and thoughtful conversation, where Kara and her guest are passionate about the same thing: yarning. They may not necessarily agree on a small issue, but can appreciate the other's opinion. I love learning about these designers and fiber lovers, their personalities, where they get their inspiration, and hearing the excitment their voices as they get to talk about what moves their souls.

If you're into knitting or even thought about knitting, this is the podcast for you!! Kara does a great job of making you feel like you're a part of the conversation. Each epiosde is packed with information.

Only had time to listen to the introductory podcast but think this one is going to be a keeper. Kara has a pleasant radio voice. This will be an informative and entertaining podcast.
