A discussion about how do we wait.

Prayer begins with a relationship that God initiates. He gives us all that we need to be in relationship with Him.

Then Peter came and said to him, 'Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?' Jesus said to him, 'Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times'. Matthew 18:21-22

It's similiar to the feeling of immersing yourself into a warm bath, soaking prayer will allow you to relax and focus. Discover a deeper connection with God through this powerful approach to prayer.

Prayer takes effort. Each day we're confronted with impatience and doubt. Spirituality can be viewed as a muscle, one which needs to be exercised often.

Program notes: No judgment – allow space for their responses; give permission to have the feelings they have. At what point in their response to tragedy are we meeting them? (stage of grieving, chronic grief, ambiguous grief). Create space for lament. Create space for anger to be released. Classical stages of grief to keep in mind: Shock/Disbelief Denial Anger Bargaining Acceptance When a person can't pray themselves (either they don't want to communicate with God or don't know how/what to say), what is our role? As prayer ministers, remain steadfast in faith and filled with love and hope!

In order to pray for healing, we first need to identify the need. It feels like we are all so beaten up by the pandemic that we are numb to identifying or clearly articulating how to pray. Our conversation isn't localized on the pandemic, but it certainly is a common denominator.
