My favorite podcast hands down. Look forward to it every new episode. Brian and Joe give great reviews and opinions on a wide range of tv and movies. Brian seems to be getting a little burned out but still delivers. Joe has been a great addition since Jake left. Give it a listen.

All in all it has to be the best podcast that discusses just about every movie and keeps the 4 hr podcast entertaining. My only complaint is there are no time stamps to isolate key moments of the 4 hr podcast. Apparently I’m not the only person wanting time stamps so I would suggest the community withhold the 1000th review until demands are met. Other than that keep this podcast going.

From: Kat aka Kat_plays13_ on Twitter I found you guys the week after Stan Lee died. I was really sad about it and my friends/family were making fun of me. I figured there had to be a podcast that I could listen to Marvel stuff on. And I found this one and it quickly became my favorite. After listening this long it has really become a weekly staple and always puts me in a better mood from all the other stuff in life. I have plenty of favorite episodes I download to have on long drives that keeps me awake and just in a positive mood (no peppermint oil needed here). I enjoy interacting with Brian on Twitter as well. I just really enjoy being a part of this community and hope it lasts for a really long time. 10/10 on a bad day 69/10 on a great day.

Longtime listener, first time reviewer after realizing I hadnt shown the bare minimum of appreciation for this podcast to push the reviews toward 1,000. Thank you guys for all you do, I dont have many people to discuss TV and movies with so even after periods of absence between listening I always find my self back here to hear what you all thought of the newest thing Im excited about but have no one to nerd out with. Whether its insightful, funny or informative your perspectives are always appreciated and I find myself listening to the entire podcast past what I came here for. Fully recommend giving a listen to anyone on the fence here about where to get their pop culture news fix because despite whatever Brian says, most episodes are a full three fingers (at least for me).

Hopped on this app to search for a podcast discussing The Joker right after watching it in the theater and struck gold. I haven’t missed a single episode since. Pop Culture Leftovers deserves allll the stars.

Hello Bryan and crew, I have been listening since I needed help getting through life after Infinity war. LOL. I am probably the only 55-year-old woman that listens to you. Sometimes you tick me off but I consider you a friend and I accept it and just usually laugh. I am extremely introverted so I don’t have any friends but you guys. I try to go to the movies every Saturday morning and when I went to see Knock at the Cabin Door and Smile I was the only person in the entire theatre. 😀I really appreciate you guys for all you do. Finally the show is listenable with pseudo host gone. His bland commentary and his smug bored attitude will no longer hold Brian back creatively or comedically. Long live the reign of Joe! JK we all miss Jake and I don’t even know Joe. I used to think I was hate listening to angry Brian but now my week isn’t complete without all that rage. How the heck did he do that? Brian you’re underrated and might just be a master of manipulation. Joe you seem good too.

Long time listener on and off for years…and I still have not found a better pop culture podcast to listen too. I put on Brian and Joe as I drive long distances and its as if a group of my friends are in the car with me goofing around, making jokes and talking about my favorite interests. Technically everything is fine. Good audio, coherent hosts. But repeatedly making the same points again and again possibly to stretch out a show does not make for good content. Will not be returning.

So the host, Brian has undergone a transformation since dropping the dead wood (Jake), and bringing Joe on board as a “leftover”. He is more insightful and much less cranky. I’m totally kidding! Although Jake is missed, Joe has been a guest host so much he made the transition to full “leftover” very smoothly. And Brian’s opinions are still frivolous and he is as cranky as ever…kidding! Jeez! Honestly a great show that summarizes an amazing array of media releases. It really helps you decide what will fit your entertainment taste, or Tupperware, or toss…if you know, you know. Keep up the good work and thank you! Am I number 969?!?!

I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to write a review for this podcast that I’ve been listening to for nearly six years now, but Brian put out the call to get to 1000 reviews by fall and I’m here to answer. In a nutshell, if you’re the type of person that loves movies / tv shows and enjoys breaking them down and discussing them just as much, then you need this podcast in your life. The hosts and guests are hilarious, have great chemistry, and will go off on long random tangents, but don’t worry people, they’ll get to the content. After following the show for so long it was heart breaking to see the main co-host Jake leave, but fortunately we’re left with an outstanding replacement in Joe Stark. I sincerely wish you both, and all of your guest hosts the best. Even though you have no idea who I am, you all have meant a great deal to me and I hope I get the opportunity to listen to many more pop-culture breakdowns and personal stories for years to come. Love the show , been listening for years now , never entered a contest either but maybe the chastising helped cause here I am … The show rocks , you guys are funny and all the regulars are pretty awesome as well . Former video store and Best Buy employee(media) who loves to nerd out with you guys weekly . I now work in a steak house in nyc and I get a lot of regulars in movie industry . People in the industry do talk about awards more then you would think I always find that interesting. Anyway …Be on the lookout Monica I’m coming for some of those blu ray and digital codes . Listening to my daily podcasts all week ,I couldn’t wait to listen to this on Saturday. I loved this podcast, and I always appreciated how they left politics out of it. Brian always made a point to keep politics and religion out of it , even though I could tell I am in a totally different place with my views then there’s. But the episode when Brian said he couldn’t wait to see the movie Bros, that was it for me. How can a so-called straight man and be excited to see that pile of crap? Good luck to you guys. These guys and sometimes gals are awesomely. Funny. They have awesome banter and the chemistry. They bring on a lot of great guest host that bring a lot to the show. The earlier Brian claims the episode is terrible, the better the episode. It’s really fun to listen to when things go off the rails and everyone starts ripping on each other like old friends. The movie and tv reviews are great as well and have gotten me back into loving movies. I look forward to hearing the weeks’ news, possible movie spoilers, or any of Brian and Jake’s antics. What I appreciate most about this podcast is finding out hidden gems that I wouldn’t hear about anywhere else, and one specific gem Brian reviewed a few years ago gave me the inspiration for my username and introduced me to Jonathan Majors before Lovecraft Country or Loki. Thanks for introducing me to The Last Black Man in San Francisco and several other gems, and keep up the great work!

Hey Pinky and the Brian and Jake-Off. I’ve been listening for a couple years now and finally decided to leave an iTunes review after episode 389. Last year was horrid for all of us. I too dealt with suicidal thoughts and tendencies, job issues, family issues, etc. The past 2 years you guys have made me feel at home just through the conversations you have. Unashamed, unhinged, and unrelenting. As a small town Indiana boy who moved to the west coast, this podcast is like talking to my friends back home amongst the corn. Thank you guys for what you do. You’ve inspired me to not only keep moving forward but to start my own podcast. Can’t wait to hear your reviews of Halloween Kills as it’s easily my most anticipated movie for 2021 and Brian absolutely loved Halloween (2018). 4 hours feels like no time at all with the Pop Culture Leftovers.

Hey guys I just want to show my appreciation to Jake and Brian and all The guests you have on. This podcast is something special to me, not wanting to go down that road but I struggle with suicidal and to hear you guys talk about it make me feel like you guys are talking to me. I wish the PCL team the greatest success and keep up the great work. Oh and one other thing in the Shang chi second trailer at the end Shang chi and father seem to be fighting over the ring and Shang cha Energy from the ring seem smooth like water and his father’s energy seem to me like it failing him. So this is my theory I think the is not compatible with his father but they are compatible with him this is why at the beginning of the trailer we see a war against two families I think those two families are between his father and mother’s family but they came together to make a heir for the rings but since he doesn’t want the responsibility of the rings because he doesn’t want to like his father.

Let me start off by saying I love this and this community. I’ve been listening since the Logan review and met up with everyone at C2E2. It doesn’t feel scripted or plays it safe. Listen to episode 381 and if you can’t get passed that this show ain’t for you.
