fun with just the right amount of jackassery
A fun podcast that’s been around for years. The hosts and guests have good chemistry, as other have said. Listening through the archive has been helping getting me through the quarantine. Thanks guys!

Funny, endearing, clever
A clever and welcome respite from a weary world! The hosts have good chemistry and charmingly quirky insights. Especially like Pat's take on the entertainment continuum!

Married With...Morons
They take a big ole poo on Married With Children without watching more than one episode. Their beef with the episode was that Al was forcing his wife to have sex with him and making her do house work. They were too worried about being PC to understand that for this ONE episode the roles were reversed. It is usually Peg forcing Al to have sex and she NEVER does housework. The series itself was commentary on marriage. This was just one of the many clever things that show did to spoof itself. Meta before there was meta. Unfortunately these guys are too numb, or too Canadian to really get it. ;-)

Fun jump into pop culture
I enjoy listening to this podcast while I work or commute. They cover a wide range of pop culture: TV, music, film, comics and more. Some of the subjects I know nothing about, but their repartee is enjoyable. They aren't too jaded nor gushing over the subjects, just two regular guys talking about cool stuff with some friends along for the ride.

"I don't get it, I don't like it"
I'll use this podcasts premise to review it: I'll listen to one episode of something I'm completely unfamiliar with and then make a judgement call on the entire thing. It's hard to consider their opinions valid in any way when the most commonly heard sentiment is "I've never seen it before, I don't get it, I don't like it." I feel the same way about this podcast.

Funny and Interesting!
Entertaining discussion about pop culture combined with a personal touch. You can tell the hosts enjoy what they do and it's good to know us music/film/tv geeks aren't alone in the world.

I will say that the first podcast I listened to by these guys, Fall Preview, had me giving side eye glances at my computer because how many facts they had wrong. After listening to a few other episodes, I am in love. I get that not having all of the fact regurgitated at me is part of their charm. If you can't laugh at the musings over a potential Degrassi epidsode about being fingered by a demon, then this is probably not the podcast for you. Otherwise, listen in because it is delightful.

I second that, fun and engaging.
Listening to Episode 18 makes me want to run out and see "Vegas in Space". It's so great to hear the commentators and guest, Michael, discuss both of these movies (and lot's of other side topics), a really great listen. I second you guys having Michael back, you had a great rapport!

Pop Culture Fun
Really enjoying this podcast. The hosts work well together, and their friendship is contagious… I really feel like I'm sitting around listening to two of my friends chat. They're both very funny, but in unique ways. I like the concept of the show, and think it's pretty unique, the comparison of something older and something newer. But I also like it that that doesn't consume the whole episode… I enjoy hearing them go off on tangents and talk talk about themselves. Give it a listen!

Lacking.
I listened to a few episodes and tried very hard to get into it. I just couldn't. I couldn't do it. If I wanted to listen to two guys talk about stuff they readily admit they know nothing about, I'd spend more time at the barber shop down the street. Also, the frequent dropping of F-bombs by one of the hosts is a bit off-putting - not because I'm offended by that language, but because it's wholly unwarranted in this context. Use your words. Your OTHER words.

amusing nerdiness
Yes, these geeks know a thing or 2 about stuff, and have some fun riffing on cultural detritus. Pay attention and you might learn something!

Funny and engaging.
I don't always agree with them, but both John and Pat are obvious fans of all things pop culture and their observations are interesting and entertaining. Definitely worth a listen.
