Show notes
Today is Juneteenth, which means that with everything happening; with the fight for justice, equality and equity, we can pause to celebrate the freedom from slavery, as our ancestors knew it.We are going to start our discussion with a look at the past, present and possible future of Juneteenth. And because the day isn’t only used to recognize the end of slavery, but also to celebrate black culture and black excellence, in the second half of the show we’ll be talking to and celebrating two young black women Imani and Chelsea, who are aiming to curate stories of black experiences in Canada.
