A wise man once said, "A house is not a home when there's no one there to hold you tight." No, this poem isn't a reference to Luther Vandross but if a relationship is a home then it cannot exist without love in it.

No hints about this one! Just listen as I talk about the one that keeps me brimming with light like the Sun in the early morning.

I am definitely an introvert! My bed is like a magnet that keeps me stuck to it, but sometimes I come across a woman who could pull me away.

I tell you exactly what it is. . . IT'S POWER! This is meant to be a bit ambiguous. Can you guess what I'm describing?

This is a note to self that isn't so. . . kind. I kind of had to realize that I cannot be frantic or panic when things get rough.

Ever heard the phrase "relationship goals"? Well, this is a relationship goal for me. I need that intimate communication with my partner. Understanding what she deals with on the daily and being her ear to divulge to. I want to hear about her day.

I'm sure people can tell how much music influences me as I drop this poem which highlights the names/monikers of some of my favorite Female vocalists. (Side note I cannot believe I left Ari Lennox out of this! Nikkie Ariel needs a mention as well. Oooh! Toss in Nao, Mariah The Scientist, Kirby, Brittany Howard, Chloe x Halle. . . dang, that's a lot to add.)

The title is slang in the Washington, D.C. & Prince George's County, Maryland area (somewhat including Virginia, so basically the "DMV"). I actually wrote this a couple of years ago to include all of my favorite Rap/Hip-Hop artists at the time. I love how it turned out and I hope that you will as well.
