Le 12 février 2024 j’ai posté ceci: « J'écoute ce podcast régulièrement depuis l'Argentine et je l'apprécie beaucoup. J'ai une petite remarque sur les épisodes des idiomes de la langue française. Ça commence par Johan qui se présente, et tout d'en coup une belle voix de femme prend la suite de l'émission sans se présenter. C'est quand même bizarre. Qui est cette femme? Pourquoi elle ne dit pas son nom? Pourquoi ne pas lui donner crédit pour sa façon sympathique d'expliquer les nuances du français? » Aujourd’hui, le 18 mars, plus d’un mois après, le mystère persiste. Pour quelqu’un qui parle toujours du développement personnel, c’est bizarre de ne pas corriger ses erreurs ou améliorer le podcast et corriger ses bévues. Pourquoi ne pas créditer la personne qui présente le podcast ? C’est décevant, puisque injuste.

Merci beaucoup!!! I never tire of listening to this wonderful program. It is as if friends are getting together and having a heartfelt discussion. My French has improved so much, and I find that while watching French language programs, I need to view the English translations less and less. I love walking with Johan episodes the most! May 2024 be a fantastic year for this program and it’s listeners!

This is one of the better French learning podcasts out there. He has a wide variety of topics and always keeps in view that he’s speaking to language learners. Definitely worth including in your learning tool box.

This podcast generously provides a steady stream of free, interesting content in clearly spoken French at an intermediate level. It is a great resource for exposing yourself to lots of spoken French when you are trying to learn the language.

Johan speaks clearly and at a pace that allows me to to follow most of what he says. I usually listen several times, understanding more each time. If I am stumped on a word or passage, the text is available in English to aid my learning. I love the self improvement episodes on Wednesdays. They are so motivating! I am at about a B1 level in French after studying for years with apps such as Babbel and Memrise. Those are both good apps, but now I’m taking my French to a new level with this podcast and a membership in Français Authentique.

Bonjour des États-Unis! Johan est un mec très génial et ça me plait beaucoup de l’écouter parler de plein de sujets. Je l’ai découvert sur YouTube où son vidéo sur les sept règles d’apprendre une langue effectivement (ou quelque chose comme ça) m’a piqué le curiosité. La chose la plus importante (d’après moi et lui aussi je pense) c’est d’écouter bien, et Johan le rend facile à faire. Désolé si j’ai fait des erreurs en français!

"Marcher avec Johan" is fantastic - it is uplifting, inspiring, and a lovely way to listen to beautifully spoken, easy-to-understand French.

I’m so happy I found this podcast. I lived outside Paris 1967 through 1974. My French has become very rusty and I was looking for a way to get back my fluency. Most programs have dialog that is so fast I can barely make out a word. This podcast is easier to understand. Thank you!

This podcast is really helpful. Interesting and enough variation in wording that you can catch the meaning in context even if you don’t know specific words yet. Highly recommended. I LOVE that it’s all in French. So helpful for learning vs context switching / translation to English.

J’écoute tout le temps chaque épisode dans Telegram, YouTube et actuellement des épisodes de podcasts. C’est une excellente opportunité pour les personnes comme moi qui n’ont l’accès de participer à l’académie française en raison de la limitation dans notre pays malheureusement . Merci Johan. Hello friends. between many French podcasts that i’ve listened like transfer, oui, ... Johan in this podcast is great because he speak without pause and sounds like eeee, ooo, mmmmm. Frenchs usually speak fast but with many pauses and repetition like aaallez, dddonc, pppartir. It goes on my nerve but this podcast is great. Enjoy it

C’est un podcast en français vraiment bon! Je le suis depuis 6 mois et mon niveau d’écouter le français a élevé beaucoup. Johan creates wonderful listening content! He speaks clearly and at a normal speed- not too slow. Lots of enjoyable topics, including a theme of personal development, which is really helpful. Why not listen to something in French that you would otherwise consume in English? That’s Johan’s point: so things in French that you already enjoy in your native language! His YouTube channel is also fabulous. He’s quickly become my favorite French podcaster and YouTuber. Merci, Johan!

I’ve been listening to this podcast for quite some time and it is great to improve my listening skills. My favorites are marcher avece Johan but he has great content and tips for everyone to improve their French. I highly recommend if you are looking for more than basic lessons.

This charming podcast is a wonderful way for me to maintain my French language skills. The host is great, and he speaks very clearly but at a normal speed and cadence so it truly is ‘authentique’. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in French language and culture.
