I’m just getting into VtM and this podcast has been a crucial element of my understanding it all. I don’t miss a second. I’m fact, if I do, I rewind it!

I've been playing vampire since the 90's and it has one of the richest worlds and storylines of any RPG. Getting started with it now can be intimidating but this podcast breaks the metaplot and history of vampire down into smaller pieces without loosing the detail that makes world of darkness shine. If you are looking to get started with vampire or just brush up and enjoy some of the great history of the world this is the podcast to do it with.

This series is an awesome resource for those jumping into running or playing Vampire in any edition. The conversation is packed with information, anecdotes, humor, and a real love of the game.

Of all the WoD games, vampire had always been my favorite. I have played the game for nearly 12 years and read all the supplements. So when I say that this show taught me things about the game line that I did not already know, it is a high compliment. The presenters are likeable, well spoken, and very good at sharing the time. The information is taught in a very easy to follow style that clearly draws from experience and genuine knowledge. You really can't ask for more! Highly recommended.

So, I wanted to sit down and listen to the Assamite episode of this podcast to see how they cut up this clan. And, the hosts do a great job at looking at the cultural problems with the Assamites, and they look at them from the position of how to play this clan in this game with these problems being present. They do an Amazing job of deconstructing the clan and giving us ways to work through their problems and play the clan in fun ways. Solid job folks, keep it up.

Nothing drives me nuts more than knowing someone in a podcast is BSing their way through a subject matter. That is not the case with Podcast By Night. You can tell the host knows what they are taking about, and not only that, they will explain it in a way that isn’t boring and is easy to ingest. I particularly love their deep dives into clan, good stuff!

As someone who has little to no knowledge of Vampire: the Masquerade, I can say without a doubt this is one of the most informative podcasts you can listen to. Episode 9, which is the one that prompted this review, covers clan Asimite, an unusual faction within the game world. The hosts were pleasant to listen to, and the balance of speaking time was pretty even. Overall, very solid episode.

I've been waiting for a podcast for the Masquerade players out there, and this one is on point. Cheers!

Vampire: The Masquerade was the game that got me back into RPGs after a several decade long hiatus. Fortunately, there are A LOT of great podcasts out there to help me get up to speed on all things VTM and Podcast by Night is one such show. I tuned into their most recent episode about Clan Assamite. I never really cared about Assamites before but hosts Jennifer and John turned me around with the history of this Clan and provided excellent ideas on how to play an Assamite character. They fleshed the Clan out being its early stereotypes and gave me a better understanding of their background and history. If you’re new to VTM or a longtime player or Storyteller, you’ll be pleased with the care and depth that Jennifer and John put into their show. Subscribe!
