The 2019 Legislative Session is OVER!

Brad Little makes a huge move and signs his first VETO of the bills that were set to dramatically limit ballot initiatives in Idaho. Tune in and listen up! 

Idaho is in the middle of a constitutional crisis regarding an attempt by establishment legislators to all but end ballot initiatives in Idaho. In this episode we catch up with up to the minute action and we make a surprising declaration regarding Heather Scott. It seems that Heather Scott is concerned that limiting the ballot initiative may undercut the constitutional rights of Idaho's citizens... Heather Scott is correct and we appreciate it when people live their values even if they have to stand up to their own party. 

This episode is all about the legislature's reaction to voter initiatives in Idaho. Currently the Idaho Legislature is deciding two bills that will have dramatic impact on initiatives.  One bill will disrupt the recently passed "Proposition 2" and the other one will disrupt upcoming initiatives. We call this the grumpy legislature "get off my lawn" episode. 

Idaho Education funding falls through. Medicaid Sideboards get a hearing. Child brides are still a thing. The Secretary of State makes a 2 million dollar error. All in one week.
