
My father spent his life working for the Boston Water and Sewer Commission after growing up on the toughest streets in the country: The Old Harbor Projects in South Boston. However, my dad, an autodidactic, ended up becoming an inspector with the Boston Water and Sewer Commission. We discuss why many working class folks, including union folks, tend to vote for Republicans, voting against their own economic interests.
