Georgios-Hermes Tagaras (Aka) Hermes Martinez was born in 1982 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Tech, Tribal, Techno & Afro House are the music genres that he plays mostly at his events. From 1998 until now he is been working as a professional DJ collaborating with various nightclubs at his home city and as guest on events around Greece and Europe. Hosted a rather successful radio show in a local radio station at the start of his career, getting the opportunity to gather the attention of his fans as well as major sponsors for it. This important first step ultimately led him to host his show on Klik Fm Radio for 3 years long. His studies includes sound engineering, music technology, music production, graphics and web development. From August 2010 started to cooperate with local djs, producers, remixers, recording studios, photographers, art designers and start updating his profile. The first dj tour started in 2011 named "After Hours" with appearances around Greece & Europe. 2013 was the right time to move and live in Athens. The story continues with a lot of house dj events, parties and guests and the beginning of his music productions. In 2014 started a cooperation with "Athene Noctua" a team with Tolis Koutras and Nicolo, also djs and producers for their live house music events in Athens and continuing the guest events to Spain, Belgium, Italy and major countries across Europe. 2016 his first EP was released under BeatBlock Records “Into Deep” a progressive original track with 3 Remixes by Fabio Orru, Experimental Feelings and Michael Berklin. During 2016 - 2019 four new re-edits came up. The first one was the Tribal House Remix from the original track "At Night" by Shakedown as a gift for his fans in Thessaloniki including also a video clip showing the nightlife between Thessaloniki and Athens. After that "Seduction-The Pray Mix" production with an unusual for house music sound in it. "Insomnia" re-edit with vocals from Imaani from the original track by Kort. Unexpectedly 2019 a scholarship was came up and Hermes travelled to USA for the On-Site Seminars at Berklee College Of Music in Boston - Massachusetts. New opportunities was on track meaning guest live performances in New York and promote the "As The Rush Comes" an old school Progressive Track composed from scratch just only used the vocals by JES from the "As The Rush Comes" by Motorcycle. After Berklee Seminars and living between New York and Connecticut, a new guest live set was held in Yale University Campus in New Haven. 2020 as we all experienced was an ugly year during the pandemic and all schedules was cancelled. Now in 2021 Hermes build up his own company "Martinez Music" with services that include Music & Sound productions, Graphic Arts, Visuals, Promotions, Insurance Plans and at the end a Record Label based in Thessaloniki - Greece.
