This week we sit down with entertainment writer, Cortez Cubillas. Cortez gives us a look into the life of a writer in Hollywood.

For episode 3 I had the pleasure of bringing on Krista Bradley who is a straight hustler. Krista is a writer, producer, actress and so much more. Krista started as an Actress and has starred in films like the Penitent Thief with Kevin Sorbo aka Hercules and starred as rodeo star, Carly Rivers in Netflix’s Walk. Ride. Rodeo. She’s since gone on to her directorial debut Eighty Two Days. Krista is extremely active in the FilmFest circuit and has won awards for her screenplay, Wonderland Cave which we’ll dive into in the episode. She shares a ton of advice on navigating film festivals, creating content to pitch and how to pitch a script. Let’s get into it.

For episode 2 we have current actor slash writer slash all around dope guy, El Hilaire. I met El in Denver and I’ve always been so impressed with his love for storytelling and his commitment to the craft. He wrote his own screenplay which I was lucky enough to read and it has some powerful themes. He’s currently pitching it.

For Episode 1 we have some fire. I spoke with Krista Gano who has over 25 years of experience in the industry. She started her career producing and acting in the feature Chicks, Man and then spent 5 years as an assistant to Dustin Hoffman. In 2002 she became the executive director for the groundlings. And she’s since gone on to start Firefly Rev Studios and co-wrote features that she is actively pitching.
